Chiang Mai Mushroom House and Organic Farm THAILAND Located along the route between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, the Chiang Mai Mushroom House and Organic Farm Project is a partnership between AKP and a community home that provides natal care and job-skills training to single mothers and pregnant women. The project is working to create a life of independence and self-sufficiency for its residents. With AKP’s support, a mushroom house was constructed so the women are able to grow mushrooms as a source of income and food security, while also learning project management and financial planning skills. A&K guests are invited to meet with the residents of the home, learn about mushroom farming, and gain an insight into daily life in these rural surroundings.
