Some exciting news for our U10 players! The ECA alongside Cricket Victoria have introduced a new format. This means playing with fewer players and everyone getting a fair go at playing the game and developing their skills. In 2017-18, we are looking to build on the girls success last season and hopefully we will be entering two girls team into the Anna Lanning Shield Competition (U13s and U15s). Also, this season all home games will be played at Macleay Park. Thank you to all those parents who completed our survey, after listening to what you said, we have made the following changes, v U18s will have a designated coach v If we use a ground outside of Macleay Park for home games, teams will rotate, so everyone will get some home games at Macleay Park v We will aim to place more players in a team, meaning less movement between teams and players get to stay together and develop as a team. Registration All players intending to register with North Balwyn this season MUST do so by Friday 8th September. This year you will be able to register online click here , or attend our Registration Day on 27th August from 10am - 12pm at our club rooms at Macleay Park. To avoid your child being placed on the waiting list you MUST get their registration in by Friday 8th September. If your child is NOT intending to return to play for NBCC this season, we would be grateful if you could notify us by phone or email, so that we can remove their name from the list. Merchandise/apparel will be available for purchase (and orders can be placed for out of stock or special items) on registration day. Remember all junior players are required to wear an NBCC “Bulls” cap during games. NBCC Registration Information | 2017-18 Page 3 JUNIOR REGISTRATION LETTER (CONT.) As with previous seasons, funds raised by the Young Bulls Foundation (YBF) will be used to engage specialist coaches. This year all junior players will have the opportunity to have a free one-on-one coaching sessions. The Young Bulls Foundation (YBF) is unique to the NBCC as a mechanism for providing a wide range of extra junior cricket development opportunities such as one-on-one coaching, specialist coaching, winter coaching, summer cricket camp, and special subsidies for approved cricket tours. More information about the YBF is located in the information booklet Click Here Each season the YBF looks to expand on what is offered, and this season it is planned to offer extra subsidised one-on-one coaching sessions for those interested. We encourage you to contribute financially to the YBF if you can. Your donation can be tax deductible if you complete the Australian Sports Foundation. Aimed at 10 to 17-year-olds, Anna Lanning Shield will help bridge the gap for female participation opportunities between MILO T20 Blast and Bartercard Premier Cricket. The main goal of this all girls’ competition is first and foremost that the girls have fun, have something to look forward to each week, and then develop their skills while growing their love and understanding of the game. “Having the competition named after Anna Lanning is also great because it will help create a connection and it will show the girls what’s possible in this sport.” “Anna is a very good young player who has represented her state and is an outstanding leader” ECA Junior Chairman Richard Barker said. NBCC entered it’s first team in the Anna Lanning Shield last season and the girls had an amazing season, reaching the Grand Final. With many clubs already participating in the competition, the ECA, CV and NBCC are hoping to recruit more girls this coming season. The eight week Anna Lanning Shield begins on Wednesday 18th October (Date TBC) with away games at Hislop Park in Balwyn North and home games at Macleay Park from 5pm. AUSTRALIAN CRICKET SOCIETY 54Th Annual Report & Financial

AUSTRALIAN CRICKET SOCIETY 54th Annual Report & Financial Statements 2020~2021 to be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Cricket Society Incorporated on Friday, 20th August 2021 Australian Cricket Society Inc. Established 1967 President's Report It is my pleasure to report on another highly successful and buoyant year for the Australian Cricket Society in 2020-21. Despite all the challenges of lockdowns and the nation’s roller- coasting battle with Covid-19 we have been able to complete a dozen functions in the last 12 months, albeit the majority by ‘Zoom’, allowing us to make another substantial donation to our gold charity partners the Ponting Foundation. Among the Zoom guests were Test offspinner Ashley Mallett, authors David Frith, Dan Liebke, Craig Dodson and Wes Cusworth and leading Australian women Annabel Sutherland and Rachael Haynes. We were also pleased to hold our annual dinner, which Covid- 19 had precluded from being held in 2020. Cricket’s fraternity and friendships were never more important than in July when our dinner guest, Test fast bowler James Pattinson was in touch on the Wednesday, telling me that a personal issue precluded his attendance for the Friday. There was just 48 hours to go and Victoria’s head coach Chris Rogers stepped in. Chris Rogers demonstrating how high the Master should be raising his arm when bowling! Pic by Johann Jayasinha - SNNI The ultimate insider in Australian cricket, a champion player and an even better bloke, Chris spoke for an hour about the Vics and the Aussies and also about his memorable 2013 Ashes trip when he broke through for the first of his five Test centuries at Durham.

Type the abstract of the document here. The abstract is typically a short summary of the contents of the document.] Edinburgh Cricket Club Junior Season Report 2015-2016 In the past 12 months Edinburgh Cricket Club has grown to become the second largest cricket club in Victoria. This has come about in part due to A LOOK a demographic surge in area but also, we like to think, because the Burra BACK AT is a great place for players of all ages to enjoy cricket. The number of junior SEASON teams has doubled in the past 3 years from 8 teams in season 2012-13 to 16 2015-2016 teams in 2015-16. The most exciting development this season has been the advent of our under 15 girls’ team. Women’s cricket at the Burra has been up and running for over a decade now with the woman this year taking out the WCCC North West Premiership. This season our number one priority was getting a girls’ team up and running. Slowly over the preseason numbers gathered and we just had enough players for the start of the ECA Anna Lanning Spirit competition, which runs on a Wednesday evening. Despite their ages ranging from 8 to 13, the girls quickly bonded into a team and before long were playing some great cricket. Word spread and numbers grew over the season so that next season we hope to have 2 teams.

WOMEN’S TWENTY20 SATURDAY MELBOURNE STARS V JANUARY 2, 2016 FACT SHEET MELBOURNE RENEGADES LIBRARY Australian Women’s Domestic Twenty20 (T20) – A Brief History Victoria Spirit (4/135) defeated the New South Wales Breakers (6/118) by 17 runs in an unofficial women’s domestic T20 match which was organised by Cricket Victoria at the Richmond Cricket Ground on December 20, 2006. Victoria batted first with player-of-the-match Catherine Fitzpatrick top scoring with 42 runs off 30 balls (1 six, 4 fours). She was supported by Sarah Edwards 37 (32 balls, 1 four) and Rachael Haynes 25 (31 balls, 3 fours). In reply for NSW Lisa Sthalekar top scored with 36 (26 balls, 6 fours) supported by Kate Blackwell 30 (22 balls, 4 fours). Vic Spirit’s Clea Smith was the only multiple wicket taker of the match with figures of 2/19 off four overs. Although she went wicketless Vic Spirit’s Catherine Fitzpatrick, was the most economical bowler of the match conceding only 14 runs from her four overs. It was the tight bowling by the Victorians that contained the New South Wales batters and won the match. In November 2007 a series of five matches were played as part of a women’s interstate T20 tournament. Each state played two matches but no final was programmed. The participating teams were New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. In the 2008/09 season the women’s domestic T20 competition was expanded with two tournaments being staged. The Women’s Interstate T20 tournament consisted of a series of five matches played by the same states that had played the previous season.
