You may find that they are much closer and thank goodness, you won’t experience gridlock traffic. This means more time to spend with your family, and possibly more time to find yourself.

Living in close-knit communities often throws you into the mix with locals - you may run into your GP at the grocery store, your plumber at a beachside picnic or even your child’s school principal while walking a forest trail. Small-town adventures often include increased opportunity for socialising, more time for exercise and a greater awareness of nature and your natural surroundings.

Coastal towns in SA have amazing beauty that will take your breath away and these areas are often home to nature’s greatest playgrounds. Be prepared, your kids will be spending a lot of time in the outdoors so invest in some amazing outdoor toys and create your own favourite pastimes. With airport location’s less than 30 minutes from home, and CemAir flying to some of SA’s larger coastal towns, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the benefits of small-town living. If you are the commuting partner, we are confident you will soon understand the draw of the great, big blue!

Do you follow a specific process of writing music and songs?

That’s always an interesting question, ‘cause you never really know when a wave of songwriting is going to hit. I write from experiences and being on the road most of the time there is no shortage of content. Sometimes it will just come from a jam from a new melody or idea thrown into the alphabet soup…some songs take an hour, some a decade.

Not being long enough in one place to truly connect with people that you know you could spend a lifetime with.

We meet so many amazing humans, and unfortunately, you never know when you’ll pass though their town again. It’s difficult to keep connected to so many connections, if that makes any sense? The band members are family - the only constant.

How different is touring in Europe to SA?

Completely…as hard as it is to say, South Africa is not a thriving industry - if anything,
