The year ahead promises to be an exciting one for us at CemAir and as always there is much news to share. Our seasonal service from Bloemfontein to George enjoyed good support and we have received numerous requests to continue the route year round. As more than such we have included two flights per week in our Beech 1900’s between Bloem and George starting from the 18th of January and expect to add further flights as demand develops. During the Easter holidays we will be adding additional capacity to this new route both by utilising a larger aircraft and through extra flights to cater for the seasonal traffic. In addition we shortly expect to announce the addition of a Bloemfontein to Port Elizabeth route words. while connectivity to Nelspruit is currently being considered. We have opened a passenger services counter at OR Tambo to assist passengers with ticket, baggage and flight enquiries when our check-in counters are closed between flights. The new office is located on the departures level of Terminal B, near the large circular atrium at the northern end of the terminal. The office will be staffed seven days a week with operational hours during weekkdays of 7am to 7pm with shorter hours on weekends but sasfinforex.co.za still comfortable covering the times of our activities. In our last issue we proudly announced the launch of our SkyRewards programme, the CemAir loyalty programme created to thank our more frequent customers for their loyalty. The Conferences - Functions - Accommodation response has been overwhelming and in the first two months of business | wealth | banking the programme we saw more than 1 200 members join with more than 370 000 total accumulated miles. The 2015 holiday season was a record season for CemAir. With additional flights and new destinations we transported over 12 000 passengers across our domestic network. Over the period we flew more than 580 flights across all our aircraft types, transported over 150 four legged friends and assisted 66 unaccompanied minors to their waiting families. Our Plettenberg Bay schedule saw unprecedented growth with four arrivals and four departures everyday with our Cape Town service from Plett showing strong demand.     Competitive Strategies and Entry Strategies of Low Cost Airline Incumbent 1time Airline A dissertation submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters in Business Administration of Rhodes University by Diane Potgieter January 2007 Abstract This dissertation reports on the factors that contributed to the successful entry strategy of 1time Airline, a low cost carrier, into the South African airline industry as well as its competitive strategies within this context. Research interviews were conducted in November 2005 and research material gathered until end January 2006. Key issues include an evaluation of 1time's business model in relation to other low cost entrants as well as against material sourced through interviews with 1time Airline management, employees and consumers of the airline's product. Porter's Generic Strategies and Five Forces model are used as a framework in evaluating the airline. It is found that Nohria, Joyce and Robertson's "4+2 Formula" is effectively implemented at the airline, but that further implementation of Game Theory in terms of alliances should be investigated for continued success and sustainability. Introduction The Department of Transport (the DOT) initiated a civil aviation policy revision exercise with an objective of ensuring that the policy remains robust to guide the country in achieving its stated objective and robustness DOT recognizes that the country requires a comprehensive aviation policy that will be all encompassing; with a focus that is linked to the economy and the growth trajectory of South Africa 3 2. Background The 6th Administration of Government has adopted the masterplan approach as a mechanism to implement economic strategy for the country The masterplan is an instrument for implementing policy directives, and to drive change and transformation Civil aviation master plan would be critical to facilitate the growth of the aviation sector; and the deployment of required action plans to stimulate the recovery of the industry Sectoral masterplans are found to be effective tools to fast-track the sectoral and industry development 4 3. Problem Statement While the country has a policy and legislative framework for civil aviation, it is constrained by the lack of the aviation sectoral masterplan to facilitate the growth of the aviation sector Need to review current and future planning within the Aviation Industry with a focus on the Priority Interventions required for economic development and the growth trajectory of South Africa Sectoral masterplans are found to be effective tools to fast-track the sectoral and industry development 5 4.

The Fund’s first capital raise was concluded on 28 February 2021 at an amount of approximately R42 million. The Lucid Hotel Fund, which was capitalised between 2018 and 2020 intends to invest an amount of approximately R40 million alongside the Fund into Qualifying companies. Due to the quality of the investment opportunities available to the Fund this second capital raise is targeting to raise R100m. As at 1 April 2021, a significant portion of the R100m has already been committed.
