Day 5 : D5 - Full-day to visit Tonle sap lake, Old Market and Angkor Artwork.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included Morning: Excursion to the Tonle Sap lake with a stop in a traditionnal khmer village and take an ox-cart ride to reach the pier. Then boat trip to the floating fishing villages and back to Siem Reap with a visit to Angkor Artwork, workshop of handicrafts employing local people, young and hard of hearing, and using traditional Cambodian techniques for the manufacturing of products (lacquers, statues, paintings...). Lunch. Afternoon: Visit the Old market and the old French colonial quarter which adjoins it then the pagodas of Siem Reap. A visit to the Angkor National Museum is possible (option) on request. Day 6 : D6 - Transfer Siem Reap - Battambang and bamboo train tour.

Transfer to nearby Phnom Chiso where you''ll admire the panorama of the Cambodian countryside from the top and visit the remains of the temple standing there (503 steps to get there). It''s worth a sweat. Transfer to Takeo and lunch. After the break, board a boat to reach Phnom Da (VIIth/VIIIth) via a large canal dating back to the Funan era (IVth/Vth), in very good state of conservation, in the middle of vast rice fields. You will see all along the canal special fishers digging the bottom of the canal with rakes, in search of some period coins. Visit Phnom Da and Angkor Borei Museum. The trip lasts under 3 hours.
