I’ll bet not more than 10 people I here know who he is. Maybe not that many. Jim Dine is an artist. He doesn’t paint pretty pic- tures. He never has. But once you get past the weird stuff — and there is weird stuff — you begin to see his vision. Meijer Gardens recently had an exhibit of Dine’s sculpture and al- though he is better known for painting and print making, the sculpture was, to use technical terms, something ONE THING else.
