2021 Spring/Summer Series
Dear Patrons, Welcome back to live events at the Bologna Performing Arts Center! We are excited to have artists returning to our stage, and look forward to inviting you to attend shows again. Things will be a little different this spring and summer. Due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic, we are going to put each show on sale individually, about 4-6 weeks before each event. This allows us to make sure we are following the most recent executive orders, including audience capacity guidelines. Please refer to the on-sale dates for each artist in this brochure. Seating has been reduced for our Spring/Summer Series, and is being sold in staggered pairs and groups. We ask that you purchase all of the seats in the grouping to ensure that patrons are comfortable being seated together. At this time, all patrons are required to wear masks during their visit to the Bologna Performing Arts Center. All of our staff and volunteers will also wear masks, and do daily temperature checks and symptom monitoring. We ask you to please monitor your own health, and stay home if you do not feel well. We have also increased our cleaning and sanitation regimens. We have invested in new cleaning systems to ensure that the theater is totally sanitized prior to every performance. We encourage you to call us at 662-846-4625 or visit our website www.bolognapac.com for the latest health and safety operating guidelines prior to your visit. We are eager to resume presenting live events with this Spring/Summer Series. -

This edition of the JNFC Summer Newsletter is full of information about Juice that is sure to get all members excited. I wish everyone, a very happy and fun and most of all safe summer. Sweet, Sweet Juice The year was 1977. Two very talented songwriters collaborated on a song about a someone who had to be set right by their significant every day in order for things to be right. The song was a big hit for the popular brother and sister duo The Carpenters. The song writers were Otha Young and Juice Newton and the song was "Sweet, Sweet Smile." Many people have asked and wondered why Juice never recorded this song herself. They need not wonder any longer. Juice has recorded this classic song on her new compilation "The Ultimate Hits Collection." Juice has recorded a modern rendition of this song. Juice peforms a different tempo and this of course differs from the version that The Carpenters recorded. Juice gave the song a new personality. Both, as it happens, are at C2G Music Hall which is not just a great room for Wmusic but is easy to get to as well. Located on the south edge of downtown, all you’ve got to do is turn east from Fairfield or west from Calhoun or Lafayette (or whatever) and you can’t miss it. Even the parking situation is a breeze. So, if your appetite has been sufficiently whetted, we encourage you to read up on Toronzo Cannon, the headliner for The League’s annual Blues Bash benefit, and those other lads from Liverpool, the Mersey Beatles, on pages four and five, respectively.
