Inland — Pleasant Lake, Washington County. The Maine Wilderness Canoe Basin is located off Route 6 in Washington County on Pleasant Lake, the only private property among miles of wilderness lakefront. There is a sandy beach for swimming, fishing for salmon, trout, and bass, and thousands of acres for hik­ ing, exploring, and berry picking.
