It has been reported officially that as of 1 June 2012 total camp population is 24.433 persons with the arrival of 395 and return of 135 persons on 31 May-1 June 2012.

Total registered persons from 16 December 2011 to 1 June 2012 is reflected below.

Currently arrivals from Syria are assisted in the border provinces of Hatay, , and Sanliurfa.

As of 1 June the city breakdown in the region is as follows: • Hatay population*: 6,579 individuals • Gaziantep population in †: 5,753 individuals • Kilis population in Oncupinar container site: 10,443 individuals • Sanliurfa population in Ceylanpinar: 1,600 individuals

Population movement from Hatay to Gaziantep (Islahiye Camp), Kilis (Oncupinar Container site) and Sanliurfa (Ceylanpinar), from 15 March‡ to 1 June 2012 is reflected below.

*: The population of the Kuyubasi/Karbeyaz, Yayladagi 2 (YIBO), Altinozu I (TEKEL) and Reyhanli camps in Hatay is moved to Islahiye camp in Gaziantep and to Oncupinar container site in Kilis. It has been reported that these empty camps will be kept for while as standby and there is some use of these camps for new arrivals.

1. Highlights:

• Reportedly 4,251 children in Kilis, Oncupinar Container Site, 805 in Hatay and 600 in Gaziantep, Islahiye Camps are being educated.

• The Senator Richard Durbin`s visit to Kilis Oncupinar Container Site was reported in the local daily Havadis in Kilis.

• It has been reported that the Akcakale border gate in Sanliurfa will be reopened on 3 June 2012. The distance from the border gate to is 210 km and 580 to .
