Osnovo upodobljenega motiva predstavlja eden od 48 akvarelov noš, ki jih je leta 1838 naslikal slikar F. K. Goldenstein za zbirko Emila Korytka »Słowianśćyzna«. Slikar je upodobil vse poglavitne tipe noš in nekatere lokalne različice, hranijo pa jih v Slovenskem etnografskem muzeju v Ljubljani. Leta 1844 so dvanajst motivov noš, med njimi tudi poročno nošo iz Poljanske doline, priredili za tisk in jih objavili (L. Kordeš) v časopisu Carniolia. Neben den Wandermarkierungen kümmerte sich Knafelc Alojz Knafelc, Alpinist und Kartograph, wurde auch um Wegweiser und Hinweisschilder. Er gab sie am 23. Juni 1859 in Šmihel bei Novo mesto bei einem Tischler in Auftrag, brachte dann selbst geboren. Jožef Mrak (1709–1786)

The Slovenian geodesist and builder was born on the 25th February 1709 in Idrija, where he also passed away in 1786. He was the mine’s cave measurer, protégé of the mine manager, F. A. Steinberg. In der Briefmarkenserie Tourismus, die bereits seit Jahren herausgegeben wird, zeigen wir in diesem Jahr die Seen von Lovrenc. Die Seen gehören zu den schönsten Natursehenswürdigkeiten von Pohorje und stehen als Teil des größten slowenischen Waldreservates Ribniško-Lovrenška jezera unter besonderem Schutz. Das Motiv auf der Briefmarke wird durch den Rundblättrigen Sonnentau (Drosera rotundifolia) ergänzt, der zu den bekanntesten Pfl anzen der Hochmoore gehört. Bei den Seen von Lovrenc handelt es sich praktisch ums Hochmoor. Die Briefmarkenserie Pfl anzen ist in diesem Jahr den Ackerunkräutern gewidmet. Wir präsentieren den Mohn, die Kornblume, die Kornrade und den Acker-Hahnenfuß, die durch ihre leuchtenden Farben besonders schnell ins Auge fallen.
