Introducing our Knights of the

Today you will be discovering more about the knights of the Round Table. There are a number of knights who are mentioned: some easily identifiable, others not so much. Following is a list that appears commonly on a number of seemingly dependable and questionable websites: http://www.kingarthursknights.com/knights/default.asp

1. 2. Sir 3. Sir 4. 5. Sir 6. Sir de Ganis 7. Sir 8. Sir 9. Sir 10. Sir 11. Sir 12. Sir Percivale

Following are links to two websites that offers lists of the lesser known knights and information about them. http://www.freewebs.com/the_arthurian_kingdom/lesser.html#Alymere http://www.middle-ages.org.uk/king-arthur-knights-round-table-1.htm

Our mission is to get to know what we can about these guys. For this assignment you need to do the following:

Identify a knight from the list (not Arthur) that you want to know better, and a different knight from one of the lists on the websites (PLEASE do a little research on your second knight to make sure there is enough out there before you settle on him). Let’s share our picks so there isn’t too much overlap. The end result should be the following:

• Typed, 1-2 pages, double-spaced that introduces your knight (at least one page for the main knight and at least half a page for the second knight). Include in this all the biographical information you can obtain. (20) • Two pictures: if you can get one picture each of each of our knights, great. If not, make sure your pictures are relevant. For example, if you simply cannot find a picture of your knight, but you do discover that your knight’s house has an emblem of a crane, you may use a crane picture. (6) • A properly formatted works consulted/works cited page. (5)

This assignment is due Tuesday, April 23. You will be sharing pictures.
