Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana till date, Statewise;

(b) the number of hospitals empanelled under the said Yojana, State-wise;

(c) the number of beneficiaries provided assistance under the Yojana in Rajasthan and Delhi during the last year along with the funds released and spent in this regard, State-wise;

(d) whether the number of applicants under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahayata Yojana’ has decreased after implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

ANSWER THE MINISTER OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (DR. HARSH VARDHAN) (a) to (e): A statement is laid on the Table of the House STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 170* FOR 29TH NOVEMBER, 2019

(a) Ayushman Bharat Yojana comprises two components namely (i) Provision of Comprehensive Primary Healthcare through Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centers (AB- HWC), and (ii) Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB- PMJAY).

Services at Ayushman Bharat- Health & Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs) are free and universal to all.

State-wise total number of eligible beneficiaries and number of beneficiaries who have availed the treatment under the AB-PMJAY are at Annexure I.

(b) State-wise number of hospitals empanelled under AB- PMJAY are at Annexure II.

(c) Based on the proposals received from the States/ UTs, AB-HWC is being implemented in all States/ UTs except UT of Delhi. Details of funds released under AB-HWCs are at annexure III.

The Union Territory of Delhi is not implementing AB-PMJAY. As per data shared by the State Health Agency number of hospital admissions under AB- PMJAY in Rajasthan till 25.11.2019 is 4,36,303. The scheme has been launched in Rajasthan on 1st September, 2019 and the State has not sought any release of funds so far. State-wise details of funds released under AB-PMJAY are at Annexure-IV.

(d) & (e) Questions or information pertaining to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund are not admissible under Rule 41 (2) (viii) and 41 (2) (xvii) of the Rules and Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha since the corpus of the fund is entirely constituted out of voluntary public contributions and not from any allocation from the Consolidated Fund of India.
