Maharashtra Flood Situation:- As per situation report received from SEOC, Maharashtra, due to heavy rainfall 09 districts namely , Raigad, Kolhapur, , Sangli, , Sindhudurg, and Suburban are affected. Search and rescue operation are continue goingon by NDRF, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Army, SDRF and local administration.

 Brief about the current flood situation in Maharashtra is at- Annexure-I.

4. Total 152 Teams of NDRF have been prepositioned/ deployed across the country. State wise deployment is at –Annexure-II.

Today NIL reports received from 08 States/ UTs:- Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Punjab, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar.

5. Today situation report not received from 19 States/ UTs:- Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Ladakh and Jammu & Srinagar.

Brief about the current flood situation in Maharashtra as on 24.07.2021 at 1930 hrs.

1. Forecast of Central Water Commission.

Red Warning (Extreme Flood Situation)

River Wardha at Dhanora (Wardha) in of Maharashtra continues to flow in EXTREME FLOOD SITUATION at 09:00 hrs today with Falling trend.

Orange Warning (Severe Flood Situation)

River Panchganga at Terwad (Seasonal) in of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Rising trend. River Yerala at NANDRE in Sangli district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Rising trend. River Krishna at Arjunwad (Seasonal) in Sangli district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Rising trend. River Warna at Samdoli (Seasonal) in Sangli district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Rising trend. River Krishna at Targaon in of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Falling trend. River Koynaat Warunji in Satara district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 06:00 hrs today with Falling trend.

2. Forecast of IMD

On 24.07.2021- Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall likely at isolated places over Maharashtra. 3. Current Status: -

i. As per situation report received from SEOC, Maharashtra, due to heavy rainfall 09 districts I,e.Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Thane, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Pune and Mumbai Suburban are affected. ii. 89,333 people have been rescued from Districtd, Ratnagiri, Satara, Thane, Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune, Raigad. 4. Steps taken by Central Government: -

i. Situation is being monitored 24x7 by Central Government at the highest level. ii. MHA deployed 34 NDRF teams with all necessary rescue equipment in affected areas including 08 teams of NDRF Airlifted yesterday from Bhubaneswar and 08 teams Airlifted today. iii. Till now, NDRF rescued 1799 persons. iv. MHA coordinate with MoD for mobilization of following resources:-  Seven Naval Rescue Teams (including specialist naval divers and diving equipment) equipped with Gemini rubber boats, loud hailers, first aid kits, life jackets and life buoys, for deployment at Ratnagiri and Raigarh districts.  Airlifting of marooned personnel from Raigarh district undertaken.  One Seeking 42C Helicopter from INS SHIKRA, Mumbai deployed at / Raigarh for rescue operation.  Two Sorties of ALH (ex Hansa) at Ganjem near Ponda to assist rescue operations and assess water levels.  One C-17 and two C-130 aircrafts deployed to airlift NDRF team. In addition, MI-17 Helicopter also resist administration for rescue and relif operation.  Indian Army has also deployed 06 officers, 24 JCOs and 305 Other Ranks comprising of Infantry, ETF, Medical team, EME (Recovery) and Signal in Districts Ratnagiri, Kolhpur and Sangli.  Indian Coast Guard has deployed 03 Disaster Response teams with Gemini Boats and necessary life savingequipments  Senior Officers of MHA are in regular touch with State Government officers to render all necessary assistance. 5. 6. Landslide incidents:-

 Raigard:- On 23.7.2021 due to heavy rainfall, a land slide incident took place in District Raigad. Till now 52 dead bodies have been recovered, 28 persons got injured and 53 persons are still missing search and rescue operation continues going on.  Satara:- On 23.07.2021 due to heavy rainfall, a land slide incident took place in Madgaon and Patan area, district Satara. Till now 13 dead bodies have been recovered and 27 persons are still missing search and rescue operation continues going on.  Ratnagiri:- On 23.07.2021 due to heavy rainfall, a land slide incident took place in district Ratnagiri in which 21 dead bodies have been recovered, 07 persons injured and 14 persons are still missing search and rescue operation continues going on.
