Plan de marketing de un hotel temático categorizado como cuatro estrellas que ofrece un servicio de hospedaje personalizado y de excelencia a aquellos visitantes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, interesados en conocerla y en particular imbuirse durante su estadía de las características de una actividad profundamente vinculada a la metrópolis, como el fútbol. 1.1.1. Las ventajas que presenta la ubicación son varias en las que cabe destacar: • Ubicación sobre una de las avenidas más importantes de Buenos Aires. • Prácticamente equidistante de dos estadios emblemáticos: el de River y el de Boca. • Cercanía a casi todos los estadios del ámbito de la zona de Buenos Aires. • Zona de fácil acceso a restaurantes, comercios y principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. 1.1.2. Delimitación temporal. El plan de marketing es para la etapa de construcción y funcionamiento del hotel que será a partir del año 2011. 1 1.2. Problema y justificación. El problema inicial a considerar es el de las características hoteleras que debe presentar un hotel temático cuya convocatoria se basa en el fútbol: • ¿Debe enfocarse exclusivamente en el fútbol argentino, sin duda uno de los mejores del mundo? • ¿Debe abordar también el fútbol sudamericano? • ¿Qué elementos se deben incorporar a un hotel de estas características más allá de los que garanticen el objetivo central de un hotel, la excelencia en el servicio al huésped? • ¿Cómo proveer circuitos turísticos futbolísticos relevantes a los huéspedes? Y que se relacionen con la temática del fútbol.

    Capítulo 1. La hotelería tres estrellas en Buenos Aires Introducción La ciudad de Buenos Aires se ha convertido en un destino turístico muy elegido tanto para quienes visitan Sudamérica como para los viajeros del continente. Su riqueza cultural, sus costumbres, la arquitectura y el diseño de sus parques son ampliamente conocidos. Son muchos los aspectos que destacan, y que por lo tanto la convierten en un lugar obligado de visita para un público muy diverso. Según informe estadístico de la Secretaría de Turismo de La Nación, poco más de 2,000,000 de personas arribaron en promedio a Buenos Aires en el período 2004-2007. Acorde con ello, Buenos Aires ofrece un amplio menú de opciones en materia de hospedaje. Las propuestas van desde las grandes cadenas hoteleras internacionales de cinco estrellas, pasando por hoteles de menor categoría (cuatro, tres, dos y una estrella). Según estadísticas de la Secretaría de Turismo de la Nación, los establecimientos hoteleros en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires se distribuyen, en 2007 y en función de su categorización, como sigue: Tabla 1.
