That is something we should be falling over ourselves to support.” The marathon will feature a multitude of tabletop games played by the hosts and special guests, including Anthony Gallegos of The Comedy Button podcast, game designer Jason Topolski and artist Austin Madison of the forthcoming survival horror board game Camp Grizzly, entrepreneurs Anthony Barajas and Dariush Gheyssarieh of Save Point Tavern, Sacramento comedians Johnny Taylor and Keith Lowell Jensen and many more.
Tabletops for Tots will launch at noon Saturday with a fantasy block kickoff, joined throughout the course of the event by special guests, and themed segments such as the sci-fi block, featuring the Star Trek edition of Settlers of Catan, and costumed sci fi characters for photo ops. Other highlights include the highly anticipated Camp Grizzly at 7:30pm Saturday, featuring the creators of the game and free limited edition posters for the first 50 guests; Sacramento actress Brittni Barger leading the panda-themed Takenoko at 9:30pm; and an early morning session of bestseller Ticket to Ride at 8am Sunday with free donuts and coffee. Attendees to the event may watch the game play and even play from a wide selection of tabletop games available on site. Purchases from Great Escape Games will include a 10% discount with event admission.
