Also denotes unsafe practices which could result in personal injury or INFLATABLE BOATS damage to the product or property, if you do not comply with the ® instructions. CAUTION! It is the owner's responsibility to make sure all users carefully read and follow the instructions for safe operation of this product. Observe all local and national laws. Always wear a Personal Flotation Device approved by the proper authorities. Please carefully observe the Capacity Plate information which is printed on the product. WARNING! These boats are not meant for towing because the extreme pressure of the water while towing can tear the eyelets and/or handles. These boats are not meant to be used in whitewater. These boats are made of the highest quality materials and comply with NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association) regulations. CAUTION! Altering the construction of these boats could jeopardize the safety of the occupants and will void the limited warranty. CAUTION! Keep boat away from gasoline, battery acid, solvents, etc., as they can damage the boat. 2 INFLATION INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION! Do not over inflate. Pressurize product to "Inflation Pressure" stated in the chart for your specific product. WARNING! Never use a compressor, CO2 or compressed air to inflate the boat. Do not let your boat come into contact with sharp, pointed objects. (These tubular chambers are only found on Super Caravelle and Fish Hunter™ models.) 4. Inflate the bustle chamber. (This support chamber positioned at the stern is found only on the large Super Caravelle models.) 5. Inflate the outside main chamber. The chambers on the boat will be numbered to indicate order of inflation also. This order of inflation will ensure the proper volume and INFLATABLE BOATS buoyancy of the safety chamber. ® Note: To inflate the mini double lock valve, which is used on some of the Sevylor boat floors and seat bottoms, follow the same inflation instructions above, using the mini double lock valve adapter. The mini Double Lock™ valve adapter is included with all Sevylor® pumps. The adapter can be purchased from Customer Service by calling 1-800- 835-3278 (Part Number 5010000707). CAUTION! Water temperature and weather does affect the pressure in inflatable products. In cold weather your product will lose some pressure due to the fact the air will contract. If this occurs, you may want to add a little air to improve your products performance. However, in hot weather, the air will expand. You must let some air out to prevent your product from failing due to overpressure. You should avoid exposing your product to extreme temperatures (hot or cold). Do not attempt to mount a motor on any boat that does not state a Max. HP Engine rating. 6 SEVYTEST™ GAUGE Some of the Sevylor® products are equipped with a Sevytest™ gauge. The Sevytest™ device is a pressure gauge, not an infl ation gauge. The Sevytest™ gauge is found on the side wall, inside the main chamber(s). The purpose is to show you when to let some air out after the pressure has increased due to temperature change. The principle of the Sevytest™ gauge is based on the lengthening of the PVC under the infl uence of pressure. Once the boat is properly infl ated, note the position of the Sevytest™ indicator. Then periodical- ly check the Sevytest™ gauge and let out enough air to keep the test strip in the same general area.

The full-scale tests were conducted on a CPS prototype that was accepted by the CN. The seakeeping numerical prediction and model tests were done during preliminary project design. However, these results are not fully comparable with the prototype tests since the ship was lengthened in the last phases of the project. Key numerical calculations are presented. The CPS project aims to renew a part of the Croatian Coast Guard with five ships. After successful prototype acceptance trials, the Croatian Ministry of Defence (MoD) will continue building the first ship in the series in early 2020. Full-scale prototype seakeeping test results could be valuable in the design of similar CPS projects. The main aim of this paper is to publish parts of the sea trial results related to the seakeeping performance of the CPS. Coast guards around the world have numerous challenges related to peacetime tasks such as preventing human and drug trafficking, fighting terrorism, controlling immigration, and protecting the marine environmental. They must have reliable platforms with good seakeeping characteristics that are important for overall ship operations.

Increasing use of RIBs by the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has resulted in the over-utilization of the boats, davits, and cranes on board the ships. Through the Multi-Role Boat project (MRB) (former title Surface Combatant Boat (SCB) project), the Director of Naval Requirements (DNR) aims to replace the RIB and its associated storage, launch, and recovery system on the Halifax Class frigates with a larger and more capable boat (9 metre class RIB), and a higher capacity, multi-purpose launch and recovery system (articulated crane). To support the MRB project, the Maritime Operational Research Team (MORT) of Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Centre for Operational Research and Analysis (CORA) was tasked with the RIB Usage Study [1]. The study examines the 2008 activities of the frigates, as documented in the ships’ logs, in an effort to characterize the conditions under which the RIBs were used [2]. Although there are two different types of RIBs - a small one (the Zodiac SR2) that holds two sailors and is used primarily for search and rescue, and a larger one (the RIB-P(C)) that can hold 10 - they are not consistently differentiated in the ships’ logs and so are grouped together in the present analysis.

    THE MULTIPURPOSE OFFSHORE PATROL SHIP “THAON DI REVEL” LAUNCHED IN MUGGIANO Trieste, June 15, 2019 –The launching ceremony of the Multipurpose Offshore Patrol Ship (PPA) “Paolo Thaon di Revel” took place today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Muggiano (La Spezia), in the presence of the Italian Minister of Defence Elisabetta Trenta,. Godmother of the ceremony was Mrs. Irene Imperiali, nephew of the Admiral Paolo Thaon di Revel. The ceremony was attended among others by the Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, Admiral Valter Girardelli, by Fincantieri’s Chairman Giampiero Massolo and CEO Giuseppe Bono. The PPA, first of seven units, will be delivered in 2021 and it is part of the renewal plan of the operational lines of the Italian Navy vessels, approved by the Government and Parliament and started in May 2015 (“Naval Act”).
