The Division is responsible for: Chelsea Community Schools (CCS) programs at local public school facilities, coordinating and scheduling the use of those facilities by local organizations during community schools hours, scheduling organized recreation events in city parks, planning and supporting arts & cultural activities, and supporting youth/adult sport leagues. The Division builds collaborative relationships with partnering organizations and responsibly manages assigned resources. In addition, the Division provides staff to the local Cultural Council, Community Schools Advisory Board, and the Chelsea Youth Commission. Participate in a variety of ghoulish games such as musical Halloween symbols, pin the Boo Chelsea Fire Station Tour on the ghost, cookie decorating & other ghostly activities. Ages 6-12 with adult. Chelsea firefighters welcome the Come in your favorite costume! Watch a scary puppet public to visit the Central Fire Station. Receive a guided show! Registrants receive a wicked trick or treat bag filled tour of the facility, learn about their special equipment, with delicious candy! Admission is free for infants and and review general fire safety. Discover the many services toddlers. *Pre-registration is recommended. Sun 4-6pm Oct 29 $5* firefighters offer to the city! Meet at the fire station, 307 Chestnut Street. *Pre-registration is required. Coordinator: Deputy Chief Wayne Ulwick Wed 6-7pm Oct 18 No Cost* Gobbles of Fun NEW! Ages 3-5. Parents and toddlers can get ready for Chelsea Police Station Tour Thanksgiving by participating in a variety of autumn games and crafts. Instructor: Anita Barnes Ages 6-12 with adult. Police officers provide a guided Fri 6:30-8pm Nov 17 $5 tour throughout the station providing information about the daily activities and structure of the department. Meet at the Chelsea Police Station, 19 Park Street. *Pre-registration is required. Coordinator: Officer Sammy Mojica Winter Wonderland Village Wed 6-7pm Nov 1 No Cost* Ages 3-10 with adult. Bring some holiday magic to your home by creating & constructing a whimsical mini enchanted winter wonderland village using icing, gingerbread, and candy plus a variety of recyclable Costume Swap containers. Registration is required-deadline is Dec 6. All ages. Save money! Bring in a costume and walk away Sat 1-3pm Dec 9 family of 4: $15 with a different one. Costumes and accessories for children, adults, and even pets are welcome! We accept donations of costumes from those who do not want to receive a Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt NEW! costume in exchange. Drop off used, clean costumes at Chelsea Community Connections, 113 Hawthorne St., or Ages 2-8 with adult. Someone has hidden candy canes at the Chelsea Public Library, 569 Broadway. Participants all around Bellingham Hill Park! Bring a flashlight and help can choose to swap or buy costumes. All proceeds go to find them.
