***Both of the miracles leading up to the canonization of St. Paul VI involved the healing of unborn babies. In the 1990’s in , an unborn baby was found to have serious health issues. Doctors recommended an abortion.The mother prayed to Paul VI using a relic and the baby was born without incident and continues to be healthy. After Paul VI was beatified, another mother had an illness that threatened her and her unborn baby. Doctors recommended an abortion. The mother went to a shrine in St. Paul VI’s hometown of , prayed to him and the baby had a healthy birth and continues in good health.
