KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

A256 WHITFIELD & EASTRY BYPASSES,

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)

TEMPORARY ORDER 2020

To allow detailed bridge inspections to be safely carried out, County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A256 Whitfield and Eastry Bypasses in the Dover area.

Overnight closures are planned from Wednesday 24 June 2020 for up 2 nights, from 20:00 hours through until approximately 06:00 hours each night.

A256 WHITFIELD BYPASS and EASTRY BYPASS will be closed in both directions between Whitfield Interchange and Sandwich Bypass

The alternative route for through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2/A256 Whitfield Interchange, A2 Dover Road, A2/A258 Duke of York Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, Dover Road, The Strand, Victoria Road, Ranelagh Road, Prince of Wales Terrace, (Deal Castle Road in opposite direction), Beach Street, Broad Street, Queen Street, London Road, Sandwich Road, Deal Road and A256 Sandwich Road back to Eastry Bypass

ARCHERS COURT ROAD will be closed on the night of 24 June 2020 The alternative route is via Sandwich Road, Road, Little America, Abbey Top, Rose Hill and Abbey Road back to Archers Court Road

WALDERSHARE ROAD will be closed on the night of 25 June 2020 The alternative route is via Sandwich Road, Archers Court Road, Abbey Road, Rose Hill, Abbey Top and Little America back to Waldershare Road
