Mr. Mike’s Wish List The Alan Green Chevrolet By Mike Siesicki 1967 Camaro Z/28 Trans Am By Guil Rosa I, like many others, have a wish list of cars that My inspiration for this project came from the we wish were made into model kits. For the interior, I used the dashboard as a base to add a lot NASCAR versions out there, but I would like a stock version with the 351 4-bbl. Cobra Jet. The engine and its bay were heavily modified. The Z/28 Camaro's small block engine received scratch built belts, oil dipstick, resin external oil filter with scratch built support, oil and fuel lines, Detail Master distributor kit, scratch built air cleaner/induction and a handful of scratch built and photo etch bits and pieces. The driveshaft was modified; I cut the two ends and replaced the middle part using K&S aluminum tube. The exhaust system was scratch built out of styrene rod and aluminum tubes, the front brake scoops and ducts were made out of brass sheet, heat shrink tubing and wire. To finish up everything, I used Bare Metal Foil and photo etched bits all over the Camaro's body including using the front grille from a Model Car Garage '67 Camaro set. I want to thank every member of the Classic Plastic MC for your support, tips, parts, advice and the many laughs along the way, without your support I wouldn't have been able to accomplish this project. I also want to thank the folks on the ’50 Packard Eight Touring Camaro forum and Mr. Jon Mello for their help, pictures and By Dick Freeman information about this race car. Packard’s styling director at the time, Ed Macauley, is most responsible for the love it or hate it ‘aero-bathtub’ look. That may be, too, why the colors used are a handsomely patina-ed beige above brown as, in fact, brown was Macauley’s very favorite color. To complete my marker pen sketch I took some artistic license, that is, I borrowed from my fondness for Rock-a- Billy and Day of the Dead iron-on patches to create my own variation of this Packard Eight. Thanks and best wishes, Dick

October 2017 : We had 27 members attend the meeting Club Business discussed at this meeting: • We had very little club business at this meeting as our show ‘stuff’ as all set and we just sort of discussed a few things and had a good time. Art Anderson came in from Indiana attended the meeting as he usually does and gave us an update on a future Moebius release which should be out in January • Art distributed the T-shirts, we had our usual ‘Show & Tell’ and all retired to ‘invade’ the Dunkin' Donuts down the street. • We were also informed that club member Jon Talcott, who is hospitalized at the V.A Hospital in Bedford MA, would not be able to attend this year on doctors orders due to his state of health. You will be missed Jon. We all wish you a speedy recovery.
