Page 5 Enfield Fairtrade Application July 2008 Goal 3d: Schools, Colleges, Universities and young people’s Associations There are sixty state primary and eighteen state secondary schools in the London Borough of Enfield. Several schools are already integrating Fairtrade into their curriculum, 25% of primary, 50% of secondary, and the following list provides an outline of the range of these activities. It is probable that a higher number of schools than shown here have some form of Fairtrade affiliation, and part of the on-going work of the Fairtrade Steering group will be to co- ordinate more comprehensively the work carried out by schools and young people’s organisations to encourage more participation by young people in the campaign. Primary Schools Alma Primary School One of the school’s governors is an elected Council Member and an active member of the Enfield Fairtrade Steering Group.
