Milk Kulfi Recipe / Paal Ice / Homemade Kulfi Recipe
Jigarthanda Popsicle Recipe / Madurai Jil Jil Jigarthanda Kulfi Jigarthanda is a popular milk based energy drink sold in many restaurants and road side shops in south India. Jigar means “liver /heart /mind” Thanda means “cooling”. Jigarthanda Popsicle is prepared with almond tree gum (Badam Pisin), nannari syrup, milk and sugar. I already posted the authentic madurai Jigarthanda recipe in my blog. This is my favourite drink and I will never miss this drink when ever I go to Madurai. Coming to the jigarthanda popsicle recipe, here I used vanilla extract in place of nannari syrup and I used condensed milk in place of ice cream. I have no idea whether this jigardhanda popsicle available in shops, this is my own creative recipe by following the jigarthanda recipe. The idea of making this popsicle was in my mind for long time, at last I tried it last week. Woo-ooh, it was so rich, creamy and yummy. Here in US, summer has started it’s getting hot so this madurai jil jil jigarthada kulfi helps me to cool the body instantly. I bet the kids will love this for sure. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out. Also try my other popsicle recipes. 1. Homemade Kulfi 2. Crossfit and Your Nutrition. Let's Start with the Basics
CrossFit and Your Nutrition. Let’s start with the basics ... The CrossFit Prescription Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Coach Greg Glassman, CrossFit Founder and CEO (Courtesy of CrossFit Inc.) This is not groundbreaking it makes sense and supports our performance in and out of the … gym. A clean diet supports proper immune function, acts as an anti-inflammatory to the digestive system, and promotes overall health and function to our bodies both internally and externally, including organs, skeletal and muscular growth. Rasam Recipe | Tomato Rasam | Thakkali Rasam with Dal
Rasam Recipe | Tomato Rasam | Thakkali Rasam with dal Rasam is a south Indian Soup, prepared with tomato, dal and various aromatic spices. To me, they are the comforting food next to idly. They are mildly tangy, watery in consistency and a medley of fresh aroma and flavors. South Indian meals are incomplete without rasam. Many family in south India makes rasam everyday. They are the soul food to many homes. Coming to the recipe, everyone makes rasam in a different way and this is my version of tomato rasam recipe, without tamarind, here I added toor dal in additional to tomatoes, to get a nice taste and also for protein. The one thing I like most in rasam is the lovely flavor and fresh aroma which comes from coriander leaves, asafoetida and garlic. Making of rasam is easy and can be made fast, they are good for digestion as it has lot of spices in it. Also it is a good food for people with fever and cough. Tomato rasam can be served with potato fry or vegetable fry. I had it with butterbeans poriyal. Ingredients 4 Tomatoes 3 Tbsp of Toor Dal Salt to taste Water as needed To Make a Rasam Powder 1 Tsp of Whole Black Pepper 2 Tsp of Whole Cumin 2 Tsp of Coriander Powder 3 Garlic Cloves, Big To Temper 2 Tsp of Oil 1 Big Dried Red Chilly 1 Tsp of Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp of Urad Dal 1/8 Tsp of Fenugreek Seeds Pinch of Asafoetida Few Curry Leaves 1/4 Tsp of Turmeric Powder To Garnish Handful of Coriander leaves, Finely Chopped Method Soak the dal in water for 15-20 minutes, drain the water and wash it. -

The Gulai House. the House of Spices. Often Described As Spicy, Fragrant
Welcome to the Gulai House. The house of spices. Often described as spicy, fragrant and flavourful, Malaysian cuisine draws from a melting pot of spices and herbs from the old spice routes of Asia, greatly influenced by neighbouring Indonesia, India, China and the Middle East. Incorporating only the freshest ingredients, Malaysian cooking uses fresh herbs such as serai (lemongrass), pandan (screw pine leaves), and kaffir lime leaves, as well as lesser known ones such as daun kemangi (a type of basil), daun kesum (laksa leaf), nutmeg, kunyit (turmeric) and bunga kantan (wild ginger buds). Traditional spices such as cumin and coriander are used to complement the Indian and Chinese spices such as pepper, cardamom, star anise and fenugreek. Fresh herbs and dried spices are normally pounded together to make a fine paste and are then cooked in oil. Fresh coconut milk is often added to create a creamy flavour to the dishes. Take a rich culinary journey into the intriguing world of spices.
