HOW TO FIND US Governor’s House is located on Laurence Pountney Hill, backing onto Upper Thames Street. It’s situated between Cannon Street and Monument stations, north-west of London Bridge.

By Underground The nearest underground station is Cannon Street (Circle and District lines). Alternatively Bank (Central, Northern and Waterloo & City lines) is a 5min walk away – use exit 6 for Lombard Street. London Bridge (Northern and Jubilee lines) is a 10min walk – exit via Tooley Street. In addition, the Docklands Light Railway connects with Bank/Monument stations.

By Train The City is well served by mainline stations. Liverpool Street (from Cambridgeshire and East Anglia), Fenchurch Street (from Essex), Moorgate (from Hertfordshire), Cannon Street (from Kent and South East) and London Bridge (from the South and South East) are all within a 15min walking distance of Governor’s House.

By Car There is limited parking available at Governor’s House, there is one accessible client car parking space with an electrical vehicle charging point accessed via the main delivery entrance on Suffolk Lane, EC4R 0HH. Alternatively there are four metred street parking spaces on Laurence Pountney Hill. Vintry Thames Exchange NCP car park is situated in Bell Wharf Lane off Upper Thames Street. Taxis are also readily available on Cannon Street and Upper Thames Street during the day.

By Bus The closest bus stop is on Cannon Street (stop MA, going north) served by buses 15, 17 and 521. Alternatively Cannon Street (stop MB, going south) served by buses 15, 17, 521, 786, 788, 789, 790 and 793.

By Air Governor’s House can be accessed from all four London airports – City airport (Docklands Light Railway or taxi transfer); Gatwick (transfer via Gatwick express to Victoria thereafter Circle line to Cannon Street or standard train to London Bridge); Heathrow (Heathrow express to Paddington, thereafter Circle Line to Cannon street); and Stansted (transfer via Stansted Express to Liverpool Street, thereafter Circle line to Cannon Street).
