Defensive Kelly Eastman • McKendree #26, Fr., G, 5-11 O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon Township HS Eastman made a school-record 15 saves and tallied two ground balls in the Bearcats’ finale game of the season, a 21-3 loss to No. 15 Lindenwood last Wednesday (May 1)… Her 15 saves were the equal to the fourth highest single-game total in the WILA this season… She played all 60 minutes in the game recording a .417 save percentage… Eastman finished the season with a WILA-leading total of 139 saves, the sec- ond greatest in league history and was tied for the WILA lead in ground balls (40). The Players of the Week are selected by a vote of the WILA Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors. The Grizzlies also won three games in 2013 after Week #6 (Apr. 2): None winning just once in their first two seasons combined... They also swept the season series from Week #7 (Apr. 9): RV-Lindenwood McKendree to claim their first two WILA wins in program history... Lexy Hamilton broke the Week #8 (Apr. 16): T15-Lindenwood WILA record for free position shot goals per game (1.25) and broke her own school-record Week #9 (Apr. 23): 15-Lindenwood for goals in a season with 29 and points in a season (32)... Despite missing four games, Week #10 (Apr. 30): 15- Lindenwood 15- Lindenwood sophomore goalie Danica Kristiansen finished tied for the WILA lead with 40 ground balls... Week #11 (May 7): She also led the league with her 4.44 per game average. Colorado Mesa Mavericks (4-11, 4-6 WILA, 4th Place) www.cmumavericks.com Top Offensive Player: Paige Amme (#9, Fr., A, 5-3, Littleton, Colo./Columbine HS) Amme scored three goals and assisted on another (4 total points) while taking five shots, four of which were on goal on Tuesday (Apr. 30) against Colorado College (L, 10-15)… She was 1-for-2 on free position shot attempts. Top Defensive Player: Lauren Elliott (#17, So., D, 5-7, Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe HS) Elliott tallied four ground balls and a caused turnover to help lead the Maverick defense against Colorado College (L, 10-15) on Tuesday (Apr. 30). Team Notes: The Mavericks finished their season last Tuesday (Apr. 30), falling 15-10 to Colorado College... Allie Henderson scored three goals in the game finishing the season with a team-leading 36, the fourth most in the WILA and the most of any player not from Lindenwood... She also finished fifth in the WILA and tops amongst non-Lindenwood players with 53 total points... CMU had five players with double digit goals this season... Joining Henderson in that group were Ashley Eickoff (33), Lexie Chavez (22), Kelsey Krebs (19) and Paige Amme (12)… Eickoff, Krebs and Amme are all freshman... The Mavs averaged 11.39 goals per game and had a .811 shot on goal percentage this season... Goalkeepers Lauren Wells and Kady Herzog have a combined GAA of 13.84... Previous Fort Lewis Skyhawks (7-7, 6-4 WILA, 3rd Place) WILA Players of the Week www.goskyhawks.com Week #1/2 (Feb. 27) Offensive: Erin Todd, Regis Top Offensive Player: No Games — Season Complete Defensive: Giana Lombardi, Regis Top Defensive Player: No Games — Season Complete Week #3 (Mar. 6) Fort Lewis Team Notes: The Skyhawks finished with seven wins in each Offensive: Shelby Polk, Lindenwood of the last three seasons under the direction of Coach Kelsey MacDonald... The program had Defensive: Katlyne Duffey, Fort Lewis just one total win in the first two years, under a different coach... The Skyhawks also Week #4 (Mar. 13) recorded a school-record six WILA wins this year finishing third in the league standings for the Offensive: Lexy Hamilton, Adams State second consecutive year... As a team, the Skyhawks rank ninth nationally in caused turn- Defensive: Qiana Barfield, Adams State overs per game (10.00) and are led by Katlyne Duffey, who averaged 1.71 per game to Week #5 (Mar. 20) rank 17th nationally and second in the WILA... Freshman goalie Alyssa Spencer led the WILA Offensive: Shelby Polk, Lindenwood with her 9.79 save per game average and ranks 12th in that category... She also led the Defensive: Christine Hehmeyer, Lindenwood league in save percentage (.458) and ranks 15th nationally in that category while standing Week #6 (Mar. 27) Erin Todd, Regis 23rd nationally with her 137 total saves, tied for third most in WILA history.
