Info Pack 2016 Your partner in global student recruitment London Dublin 2 x UK School Road Shows 2 The Student World Media Pack 2016 Welcome to The Student World The Student World has established its excellent reputation by being the first in the international recruitment market to offer pure study abroad events. TSW launched in 2011 in MEET response to dramatic changes to the higher-education system in the UK and a rising interest in studying overseas. PROMOTE In November 2015, FPP EDU Media acquired The Student World, having witnessed the potential of the UK and Ireland student markets, and after identifying TSW's RECRUIT position as the leading source of study abroad information for British and Irish students. The Student World engages with students and parents through international study fairs, school road shows, and comprehensive website dedicated to study abroad . 3 The Student World Media Pack 2016 The Student World Fairs Since their inception, The Student World fairs have endeavoured to be different from other higher-education exhibitions in the market by focusing solely on overseas study. All exhibitors at The Student World fairs are international (no domestic universities are invited to exhibit), are fully accredited and teach in the English language, and are rightly viewed as the first-point of contact for anyone seeking to find out about overseas study. The Student World fairs present visitors with a unique opportunity to meet international institutions face-to-face and attend seminars on a variety of topics designed to inform and enthuse students and parents alike on the study abroad Student World Dublin Fair - 24th September 2016 experience. Student World London Fair - 1st October 2016 The Student World fairs are always held at weekends so that anyone studying or working full-time can attend. We also recognise that parents play a huge role in a student’s decision-making process to study abroad, so our weekend scheduling prohibits any barriers to their attendance. Dan Seneker, Director of Enrollment Manager, Bishop’s University Canada 6 The Student World Media Pack 2016 The Student World Road Shows The High School Road Shows are an excellent way to meet students and build relationships with careers advisers in the very best schools across the UK, by way of overseas study fairs and presentations. These schools include public, private, grammar and state-funded schools in targeted regions of the UK, that we feel have the best profile for overseas study. Developing a presence in UK schools is fundamental to a successful awareness-raising and student recruitment campaign. In the build up to the Road Shows, our qualified Careers Adviser visits the schools to prepare students for the event, often giving an assembly talk to students in years 11, 12 and 13. Each Road Show lasts 4 to 5 days and typically visits 10 to 15 high schools. The format for each day is usually to run closed door events at the first few schools, and then an open door evening fair at the day's final school, where parents and students from schools in the local area are also encouraged to attend. The number of universities from each country is strictly limited to 6 per Road Show, to ensure our events maintain a global feel and aren’t dominated by any one country. We take care of the planning, organisation and management of all aspects of the Road Shows to ensure your visit is a comfortable one!
