Subtitled: “A description of a country of contrasts & of it’s cheerful, happy go-lucky people of hardy nature & curious customs; their religion, ways of living, trade and social life.” Macdonald was the British trade agent in Tibet for 15 years, this work is a very early account of Tibet and it’s people. Bound in blue cloth with gilt stamping to the spine and front cover. 268 pp. Thomson was the head of various Masonic organizations of more or less dubious nature, he was also an associate of Yarker’s, and was a member of the OTO being an original 6th Degree signatory. This book only tells part of the story, but is certainly of interest for those fans of the byways of Masonic history or the history of the OTO. A very good copy. $50.00
