But also, these clerics are ordained by the hierarchy of priests of the Greater Mysteries; so that the exoteric and esoteric are both reflections of one another. What follows in the present volume has two aspects; the mythos originally derives from the stars and the astral plane (Liber 418 is classified as AB) and the cultural elements championed by Liber AL; a class A text. Together with the genii that come to us by way of Liber 231 and the cultural points throughout the Holy Books of Thelema, these have all led to the formulation of a Tarot as in both the Book of Thoth and Citatiza-Tet, as well as the Tunnels of Set—in their totality, they being an expression of Thelemic Doctrine. The quintessential expression of dogma is derived from the cultural adaptation of spiritual principles into symbols that provide meaning and spiritual fulfillment for a community of people. Marcelo Motta taught that dogma is the death of theurgy. We take exception to this and for this reason: It is only when the spiritual principles are forgotten and the cultural expression becomes primarily fixed that theurgic evolution ceases to be promoted. In this case, Motta is quite correct. However, when the objects of a culture are consciously applied to spiritual principles, and new prophecy is allowed to constantly flourish, dogma becomes a strong tool. This is the responsibility of every generation to produce for itself. Thus far in the history of Thelema, we have really had several prophets already; Aleister Crowley; the successor of John Dee & Ed Kelly and as the avatar of the AA—the principle exponent of all the Thelemic Holy Books. Also, there is Kenneth Grant who, along with Linda Falorio brings us the Tunnels of Set and Lam; C.F. Russell who brings metaphysics to our intellectual growth and to the same end, the philosopher, Marcelo Motta who also brings us the concept of the egregore. There also follows the fulfillment of the prophecy in the discovery of the key to Liber AL vel Legis by Charles Stansfield Jones, aka Frater Achad. And we present here, our own fulfillment of other prophetic designs in Liber AL, while also discussing the fact that there should be a line of many more people yet to come that should continue to put meat on the bones of what is yet, the burgeoning science, art and philosophical system called Thelema. Perhaps ever, we can build a cultural tradition where many become prophets; each for ourselves. Also, and very important, Dion Fortune brings us the feminine mysteries that go to the heart of Thelema and are in dire need of expurgation as this philosophy has of recent decades become more the domain of men, who by their actions have proven to be seeking to establish a Thelemic patriarchy; rather than figure out how to include the matriarchal so that we can establish a culture that worships the ‘magickal childe.’ So Thelema waits yet for the next great Mother who will produce her own great fever and incite once again, the mighty roar of the Beast; so wholesome that no patriarchy will follow (Osiris) and no matriarchy (Isis)…but the Aeon of the Child…birthed from these two great psychic forces. Thelemic Culture Doctrine evolves out of our intimate understanding of the Holy Books of Thelema. Every religious culture dreams up elements; real and unreal; to enhance its imagination and aid in the expression of its nature. The Christists created visions of Heaven and Hell. The Buddhists created the Bardos. The Pagans created Hades and a plethora of mythic creatures. The Jews created Israel and Mount Zion. We could go on and on with this. It seems only natural that Thelema should evolve similar points of expression. What follows are these points taken from the Holy Books of Thelema and other Thelemic works. We’ve calculated gematrias for each of the names using English values for the English letters; Greek values for the Greek letters, and Hebrew values for the Hebrew letters. There are also letters in a few of the names that correspond to no known alphabet. However, they are attributed to either, the English, Hebrew or the Greek in notes appended to the Holy Book. And there is one last character, an upright triangle that we’ve suggested three possible values for. The first is 3 as it is a triad; then there’s the numeration of the word fire (122) as it is a symbol of elemental fire; and finally 0 as it is not a letter. A few values immediately jumped out at us. The genii of the Serpent scale corresponding with Sameck has a value of 418! Sameck of course, is the path that leads to Tiphareth; where the Great Work is engaged. And the corresponding genii on the qliphotic path equals 900 suggesting an end to the word as it corresponds to the last Atu of the Holy Tarot. Further, the genii of the Qliphoth scale corresponding to Aleph is 231; the number of the book itself. Is is suggested that the reader acquire a copy of Liber CCXXXI to follow along with the following table. What we’ve done is listed three columns representing the Hebrew letter, Atu, and both numerations of the names of the Genii. Following the table will be a few brief comments on each.

  • The Complete System of Thelemic Magick
Thelemic Qabalah Volume I Publication in Class C by Frater Apollonius 4°=7□ ATAT Fable Once upon a time there was a Great Wild Beast whose mighty roar could be heard all over a sleepy kingdom. In this kingdom there were many lovely maidens. Each Maiden lived in a wonderful cottage by a lake or a stream or by the ocean or by an echoing valley. The Children of this kingdom knew no mother or father but rather sought sustenance and comfort in the house of one of the many Maidens. Each Maiden gathered about herself all of the beautiful Children that she came in contact with and taught them by the L.V.X. of Her Soul. Each Maiden could hear the roar of the Great Wild Beast and knew that with each roar, new Children would come seeking sustenance and shelter and knowledge. The maidens would leave on porch lights to guide the children to them for the Kingdom was enveloped in eternal darkness save in the presence of a Maiden. If a Child learned well, they became a Maiden and left the cottage, with a light of their own to build and light a cottage of their own. At intervals, a Great Wild Beast would be born and roar for a time. Each Great Wild Beast, nearing the time of His passing, would teach a Maiden how to roar like them and instruct them to pass the roar on until they heard another Great Wild Beast. One day, the Great Wild Beast died and his roar was not heard in the Kingdom for many a year.

  • Babalon Rising: Jack Parsons’ Witchcraft Prophecy
Babalon Rising: JaCk parsons’ WitChCraFt propheCy Erik Davis In the forty yearS or so following the death of John Whiteside Parsons in 1952, his name—Jack Parsons from here on out—circulated principally among magic folk, critics of Scientology, and historians of modern rock- etry. In the new century, however, the tale of the SoCal rocket scientist- cum-sex magician has proven a hot commodity, told and retold in a series of articles, biographies, graphic novels, movie scripts, and reality tv shows that have transformed Parsons into one of the most storied figures in the history of American occulture. The superficial reasons are easy to see: with its charismatic blend of sex, sorcery, technology and death, Parsons’ story haunts a dark crossroads of the Southern California mindscape, scrawling a prophetic glyph in the wet pavement of postwar America. Indeed, his tale is so outrageous that if it did not exist, it would need—as they say—to be invented. But if it were invented—that is, if his life were presented as the fiction it in so many ways resembles—it would be hard to believe, even as a fiction. The narrative would seem overly contrived, at once too pulp and too poetic, too rich with allegorical synchronicity to stage the necessary suspension of disbelief. In this essay, I want to explore an unremarked aspect of Jack Parsons’ life and thought, what I will call his magickal feminism. In his 1946 text Free- 165 166 Erik Davis dom is a Two-Edged Sword, Parsons issued a call for women to take up the spiritual, sexual, and political sword—a cry for female autonomy that also eerily anticipated the militant witchcraft that would find historical expres- sion in California over twenty years later.

  • Thelemic Qabalah Volume II
Thelemic Qabalah Volume II Publication in Class C by Frater Apollonius 4°=7□ ATAT Preface The first volume of this set addressed the theoretical approach to qabalistic practice. The very study of qabalistic theory in itself is not only absorbing, but all by itself can lead to an exultant state of consciousness. And of course, qabalistic theory is so much more than was presented in this first volume. From a Thelemic perspective, we have covered this topic in a wider sense in works like: Scientific Illuminism The Starry Gnosis: An American Revelation Liber Loagaeth: Leaf 1A And though these tomes expand the theoretical corpus, they still barely hold a skeletal representation of the enormity of the Greater and Lesser Mysteries that together make the Holy Qabalah…the holy and antient study that still then, must lead us to the present volume; that of praxis. Again, the study itself, that should that be all one ever does with the Qabalah in this life, can provide its own exultation of the Soul; that even then, a more intimate connection with one’s own life on this planet is deepened to a wondrous and wholesome degree. But in praxis, the soul takes yet a stronger step towards the congealing (discussed in Congealing the Soul in Volume I) that is the perfection of the self. Praxis is both the practice and the approach to practice and it does not occur in a vacuum. Every master needs his or her apprentice…why? Because as we explained in the first volume, the energy of the creator flows to the individualized ends that we are and then must extend from us in imitation of the creative force…we are essentially, re-creative creatures.

CHAPTER 13 THE BRIGHT DARKNESS-PERSO AL INSIGHTS INTO THE ENTHEOGENIC USE OF KETAMINE Julian Vayne My entheogenic explorations with the substance known as ketamine began when I was four years old. At that age, I suffered from an astigmatism af- fecting my left eye. This led to a planned admission to the hospital and an operation to correct the problem. The anesthetic used on me was ketamine, a drug commonly employed for surgery on children and the elderly (Couper et al., 2013). Ketamine is a very safe, reliable medicine (Jansen, 2004, p. 267) and also a medicine that can provoke strange visions, distortions of space and time, and even, 1 later discovered, open the door to peak spiritual experiences (Jansen, 2004<,p. 267). For years after this operation, two things haunted me: The first was a vision, a nightmare. Something that I'd see in dreams when under stress (1 was something of a worrisome child), during fevers, and sometimes in the hypnagogic or hypnopompic states. The vision was of an egg. Not a realistic object but a stylized black-and-white ovoid shape in a 2D space that filled my entire visual field. Bisected at the widest part of the figure, this egg would appear on a background of black and white. As the top of the egg shape was filled with black, so the field behind that part of the shape would switch to white, and vice versa, for the bottom of the egg. Then the picture would shift, the monochromatic shades switching around, faster and faster until the black seemed white and the white dark.

  • Rock Album Discography Last Up-Date: September 27Th, 2021
Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
