STEP 1. POSITION SILL AT CENTER OF SHOWER CURB

Measure the base opening along the center of shower curb (as shown to the right).

Then, trim Sill (CST 900S) exactly 1/16” shorter than your measurement. Be sure to double-check your Measure Base Opening measurements before trimming.

STEP 3. PLACE WALL JAMBS AGAINST SHOWER WALLS

• Temporarily tape the Sill (CST 900S) to shower curb, ensuring it does not move while taking your measurements. • Place Wall Jambs (CST 903 & CST 965) against shower walls, on the same side you’ve chosen to place the hinge. You’ll see Right versus Left Configurations below. • Use your pencil or felt tip pen to mark hole locations on shower walls. There are three holes per jamb. Always double-check your measurements and marks before continuing with installation. • Drill holes at a 90-degree angle using the 3/16” bit. • Insert plastic Screw Anchors and secure jambs to walls using the 1-1/4” Installation Screws (6-8114 1329).

NOTE: Remember, the Wall Jamb (CST 903) is always positioned on the same side as the door hinge.

RIGHT-SIDE CONFIGURATION

IMPORTANT: All Coastal Shower Doors are pre-assembled for left-side configuration. To convert to right- side configuration, follow the steps below:

You’ll notice two holes just above the top and bottom hinge pins. These are pre-cut for right-side door configurations.

To convert your door to a right-side configuration, remove the screws from the pins, then install them into the other holes. This will cause your door to stick up 5/8” at the top. Simply rotate your door 180 degrees, as if you were correcting an upside-down photograph, with the hinge on the right side.

Your door should now open to the exterior of the shower enclosure, completing the right-side configuration.

Hinge On Left Side Follow the steps below to change into Hinge On Right Side

Make sure the new hinge position works properly

STEP 5. INSTALL STATIONARY GLASS PANEL

CST 903 CST 965

2. Run a bead of clear silicone the full length of the Wall Jamb (CST 965), on both the left and right inside walls of the jamb. CST 900S 3. Carefully place the stationary glass 1. Place both Setting Blocks (CP 938) inside the Sill (CST panel on top of the Setting Blocks 900S). They should fit nicely inside the crevice, and be (CP 938), and slide it into the Wall spaced so the stationary glass panel rests evenly on each. Jamb (CST 965).

4. With your stationary panel in place, measure the bottom length of your glass panel, from its edge to the jamb. Cut your Front/Back Vinyl Strips (C 951 B) to that length, then press them into the remaining space between the bottom Sill (CST 900S) and the stationary glass panel. This will secure the panel in place. TIP: If you’re having trouble installing the Front/Back Vinyl Strips, apply a small amount of soapy water to it. This makes the application smoother.

OVERHEAD VIEW (WITH NOMINAL OPENING) IMPORTANT: The panel can go anywhere from 1/4” to 1-1/8” inside the Wall Jamb (CST 965). You’ll need to check measurements for your Wall Jamb (CST 903) on the door side, and the gap needed between the door panel and stationary panel (where the door closes), to know how far into the Wall Jamb (CST 965) you should slide the stationary glass. You can see how the door closes on page 9.

STEP 6. TRIM AND PLACE DAM SILL

CST 901 1. Measure the space between the hinge-side Wall Jamb (CST 903) and the stationary panel. Cut the Dam Sill (CST 901) to that measurement, minus 1/16”.

2. Snap the Dam Sill (CST 901) into the bottom Sill (CST 900S) with the upright lip toward the exterior.

STEP 8. INSERT DOOR/STRIKE POST VINYL AND MAGNET

C 955 B

931 M 1. On the edge of the door glass, center the Door- Strike Vinyl (C 955 B) between the holes you’ll later use for installing the handle.

C 180 C 2. Place the Door Strike (931 M) over the Door-Strike Vinyl (C 955 B), with the thicker edge toward the C 955 B inside of the shower. (This edge will work with your magnet.) Tap the Door Strike into place with a rubber mallet. 931 M

3. Use a box cutter to carefully trim any excess vinyl from around the Door Strike (931 M).

C 956 C 4. Next, measure from the bottom of the Vinyl Strike Post (C 180 C) to the bottom of the Door Strike (931 M). This will determine where your magnet will meet the Door Strike.

5. Trim the Seal Vinyl (C 956 C) 1/2” longer than your measurement, to account for the extra room at the bottom Sill (CST 900S). Then, slide the Seal Vinyl (C 956 C) inside the Vinyl Strike Post (C 180 C) with the wing facing outward. 98-45

C 956 C

C 956 C

6. Slide the Magnet (98-45) inside the Vinyl Strike Post (C 180 C) to rest on top of the Seal Vinyl (C 956 C). It should meet the Door Trim Here Strike (931 M) to magnetize, keeping your door closed.

7. Slide the rest of the Seal Vinyl (C 956 C) in the Vinyl Strike Post (C 180 C), on top of the Magnet (98-45), then, trim the excess at the top to be flush with the Vinyl Strike Post (C 180 C).

STEP 9. SECURING DOOR ASSEMBLY IN PLACE

When satisfied with the door operation (the Door Strike [931 M] should meet the magnet inside the Vinyl Strike Post and hold with even spacing between door edge and strike post from top to bottom), step inside the shower. Use your electric drill to secure the Hinge Post to the Wall Jamb (CST 903) using three Adjustment Screws (638 PHPT). You’ll want one screw in the center, and the other two 3 inches from the top and bottom.

3. From inside the shower, insert the screw through K4 the bushing hole, then, slide a washer onto the screw (on the exterior side of the door).

4. Hand tighten the screw into the Handle (C-5313- 8), then use the flathead screwdriver to tighten further.

IMPORTANT: Don’t tighten beyond a comfortable tension, or you risk damaging the door.

5. Complete the installation by tightening the two set screws (K4) into the interior handle.

STEP 12. INSTALLING DRIP RAIL

Door Hinge 1. Position drip wing toward interior of shower, and insert Drip Rail (C 914 C) onto the bottom edge of the door.

2. Trim as required using a straight edge. Test door closure and ensure vinyl sweep fits inside Dam Sill (CST 901). Snap in when door is closed.

1. Position the bracket over the top of the stationary glass panel using the vinyl pads to protect the glass on both sides. (Note: The further from the wall, the more secure the panel will be.)

2. Adjust bar position and mark hole location.

3. Insert plastic screw anchor and secure Support Bar (C-5401) to the wall using a screwdriver.

4. Lock the adjusted bar in place using the two sets of screws located on the top of the bar.

STEP 14. LEAK PROOF YOUR INSTALLATION
