COSTUME REQUIREMENTS – THE NUTCRACKER Party girls – new pink canvas ballet slippers (single pink elastic), pink Capezio or Mondor ballet tights (please make sure you have extra CLEAN pair at Theatre, beige unditard. Claras only to wear small diamond like stud earings. Party boys – black canvas ballet slippers (single black elastic), pink Capezio or Mondor ballet tights. (girls - beige unditard, boys - dance belt). Maids – new pink canvas ballet slippers, pink tights. Harlequin and Columbine – white canvas ballet slippers (single white elastic), pink Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard. Doll – clean pointe shoes and ribbons, pink Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard. Soldier Doll – black lululemon type yoga pants, black tights or socks, black canvas ballet slippers (single black elastic). Little Mice – new pink canvas ballet slippers (single pink elastic), pink Mondor or Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard,. Mouse Captains – Black canvas ballet slippers with black elastic, black tights or black knee socks. Soldiers – beige unditard Mouse King – black canvas ballet slippers or black jazz shoes, black tights or black socks Nutcracker General - black canvas ballet slippers, black tights or black socks, black lululemon type pants Skaters – black canvas ballet slippers (single black elastic), pink Mondor or Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard. Snow and Waltz – pink Capezio ballet tights, clean pointe shoes and ribbons (see note below under Divertissements), beige waist high underwear, small diamond- like earings. Please ensure all ribbons for pointe shoes are purchased from The Shoe Room, and are not shiny. Courtiers - new pink canvas ballet slippers (single pink elastic), pink Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard. Cavaliers – beige unditard Bon Bons - new pink canvas ballet slippers (single pink elastic), pink Capezio ballet tights, beige unditard. Boys – white canvas ballet slippers and short white socks. Poodle And All Divertissements Ladies – powdered pink pointe shoes with either uniform ribbon or stretch ribbon – please make sure that ribbons and elastics purchased at The Shoe Room, are sewn on securely, and are matte finished (not shiny). It is expected that anyone performing on pointe has at least 2 pair of pointe shoes on the go for performances, and a back up pair on standby at the Shoe Room. Please make sure you have new or “still nice and pink” Capezio tights (several pair).

All Divertissements Gents – Arabian – beige canvas shoes with beige elastic. Russian – black character boots.

Ladies: - Please do not wear earings unless specified in above list. NUTCRACKER HAIR PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS

Party Girls, Little Party and Claras

Products Required: • 4 Large hair elastics (to match hair) • 30 *foam hair rollers • 1 package* hair rolling papers • Large hairnet • Hair scarf • Maximum hold Hairspray • Maximum hold Hair Gel (gel not cream)

*foam hair rollers and hair rolling papers can be purchased at The Beauty Supply Shop, Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart

All Cast (Primary C through Level 4)

Products required: • 4 thick hair elastics to match hair • 6-8 thin hair elastics to match hair • 2-3 Bun nets (colour to match hair) • 25 large bun pins to match hair (with rubber tips) • 15 small bun pins to match hair (with rubber tips) • 10 large bobby pins to match hair (with rubber tips) • Maximum hold Hairspray • Maximum hold Hair Gel (gel not cream)

All hair pins, hair nets and hair elastics can be purchased at InStep ActiveWear, or the Beauty Supply Shop.

Hair Spray and Hair Gel are your preferred brands. Note: The Beauty Supply Shop carries professional styling products with excellent hold.

Please make sure that all hair products are placed in a zip-lock bag with the dancers name on it.

NUTCRACKER MAKE-UP PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS

1. The Make-Up Department will be doing ALL make-up for dancers in Levels 1 to 3.

2. Dancers in Levels 4 to 6 are responsible for their own make-up. Please feel free to ask anyone in the Make-Up Department if you have any questions.

3. Lipstick and Lipliner for ALL Levels (1-6):

4. Make-up removal wipes are required for ALL Levels (1-6).

5. False Eyelashes for Levels 4-6. Quo Flirty #808 Duo Striplash Adhesive in White/Clear

6. White Eyeliner for Levels 4-6.

7. Please ensure all personal items are labeled with the dancer’s name.
