Hosted by the Government of Morocco, organized by UNECE, in collaboration with GIZ, the German development cooperation.
Chair: Michel Prieur, Professor emeritus of environmental law, president of the International Comparative Law Centre for Environment, member of the Implementation Committee of the Espoo Convention and member of the Compliance Committee the Barcelona Convention and its protocols.
Target audience: - Representatives of different countries of the Southern Mediterranean region (Ministries of foreign affairs, the environment, spatial and urban affairs, energy, and environmental agencies) – e.g. Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey - Representatives of neighbouring countries (e.g. Mauritania, Senegal) (Ministries of foreign affairs, the environment, spatial and urban affairs, energy, and environmental agencies) - Representatives of Parties to the Convention (e.g. France, Germany, Poland, Spain) and from the Adriatic sea (e.g. Montenegro, Slovenia) - Representatives of local and regional authorities - Representatives of NGOs in the environment and spatial affairs - Planning offices
