PREFACE Elaboration of National Action Plans (NAP) of Mediterranean countries, including B&H, is carried out within Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) located in Athens, Greece. According to “Protocol for the protection of the Mediterranean Sea against pollution from land-based sources and Activities” (LBS protocol) of Barcelona convention, on XI meeting of Contractual parties of Barcelona convention, held in Tunis, in 1997, Strategic action plan (SAP) has been adopted, which gave guidelines to signatory countries for undertaking independent actions in accordance with national politics, priorities and resources, towards
