Stjepan Krčmar U ovom radu je istražen kvalitativni sastav entomof aune na četiri močvarna staništa od me đunarodnog značenja u Republici Hrvatskoj. To su Park prirode Kopački rit, Park prirode Lonjsko polje, Delta rijeke Neretve i Crna Mlaka. Glavni cilj specijalističkog rada je objediniti sve objavljene i neobjavljene podatke o nalazima vrsta kukaca na ova četiri močvarna staništa te kvalitativno usporediti entomofau nu pomoću Sörensonovog indexa faunističke sličnosti. Na području Parka prirode Kopački rit utvrđeno je ukupno 866 vrsta kukaca razvrstanih u 84 porodice i 513 rodova. Na području Parka prirode Lonjsko polje utvrđeno je 513 vrsta kukaca razvrstanih u 24 porodice i 89 rodova. Na području delte rijeke Neretve utvrđeno je ukupno 348 vrsta kukaca razvrstanih u 89 porodica i 227 rodova. Za područje Crne Mlake nije bilo dostupne literature o nalazima kukaca. Velika vrijednost Sörensonovog indexa od 80,85% ukazuje na veliku faunističku sličnost između faune obada Kopačkoga rita i Lonjskoga polja. Najmanja sličnost u fauni obada utvrđena je između močvarnih staništa Lonjskog polja i delte rijeke Neretve, a iznosi 41,37%. Faunistička sličnost između zajednice obada na području delte rijeke Neretve i Kopačkog rita iznosi 47,61%. U fauni vretenaca (Odonata) najveća je faunistička sličnost između Kopačkog rita i delte rijeke Neretve i iznosi 72,91% a podjednaka je faunistička sličnost između Kopačkog rita i Lonjskog polja i iznosi 72,28%. Najmanja sličnost u fauni vretenaca utvrđena je između močvarnih staništa Lonjskog polja i delte rijeke Neret ve, a iznosi 65,06%. Vrlo je mala faunistička sličnost u fauni kornjaša (Coleoptera) izme đu tri močvarna staništa. Izme đu Kopačkog rita i Lonjskog polja iznosi 21,47%. Između Lonjskog polja i rijeke delte Neretve iznosi 11,65%, a između Kopačkog rita i delte rijeke Neretve iznosi svega 10,71%. Faunistička sličnost u fauni stjenica (Heteroptera) između Kopačkog rita i delte rijeke Neretve je vrlo mala jer je podudarnost u samo jednoj vrsti te iznosi svega 4%. Najveći broj zašti ćenih i ugroženih vrsta je utvrđen u redu vretenaca (Odonata) i danjih leptira (Lepidoptera, Rhopalocera). Strossmayer Univerity of Osijek Mentor: izv.prof. dr. sc. Stjepan Krčmar This paper deals with entomofauna of four wetland areas in Croatia which are also the wetlands of international importance. The wetland areas discussed in the paper are: Kopački rit Nature park, Lonjsko polje Nature park, the Neretva River delta and Crna Mlaka. The aim of the paper was to consolidate data results on different insect species in above-mentioned wetlands. Also, the aim was to evaluate entomofauna in a qualitative way by using Sorensen similarity index. There are 866 insect species classified into 84 families and 513 genera in Kopački rit Nature park. In Lonjsko polje Nature park there are 513 insect species classified into 24 families and 89 genera. There are 348 insect species classified into 89 families and 227 genera in the Neretva River delta area. However, there isn't any data available on insect species in Crna Mlaka. High Sorensen similarity index of 80.85 % points to the high similarity of gadfly fauna between Nature park Kopački rit and Lonjsko polje. The lowest faunistic similarity of gadfly fauna was found between Lonjsko polje Nature park and the Neretva River delta and it was 41.37 %. The similarity index of gadfly fauna in the Neretva River delta and Kopački rit was 47.61%. The Neretva River delta and Kopački rit have the gadfly fauna similarity level of 47.61% . The highest dragon fly (Odonata) faunistic similarity level of 72.91% was found between Kopački rit and the River Neretva delta. Almost equal was the similarity of dragonfly fauna between Kopački rit and Lonjsko polje with the similarity level of 72.28%. The dragonfly fauna of Lonjsko polje and The River Neretva delta has the lowest level of similarity which was 65.06%. The beetle (Coleoptera) fauna of Kopački rit, Lonjsko polje and the Neretva River delta has a lower level of similarity: 21.47% between Kopački rit and Lonjsko polje, 11.65% between Lonjsko polje and The River Neretva delta and 10.71% between Kopački rit and The River Neretva delta. The bug (Heteroptera) fauna similarity level of Kopački rit and the Neretva River is only 4% since there is only one common species between the two wetlands. The highest number of protected and endangered species was established in dragonfly (Odonata) order as well as daily butterflies (Lepidoptera, Rhopalocera) order. Changes in vegetation structure can alter the physical habitat structure, thermal environment, and food available to arthropods, which play an important role in the structure and functioning of Arctic ecosystems. Not only do they provide key ecosystem services such as pollination and nutrient cycling, they are an essential food source for migratory birds. In this study I examined the relationships between the abundance, diversity, and community composition of arthropods and the height and cover of several shrub species across a tundra-shrub gradient in northwestern Alaska. To characterize nestling diet of common passerines that occupy this gradient, I used next-generation sequencing of fecal matter. Willow cover was strongly and consistently associated with abundance and biomass of arthropods and significant shifts in arthropod community composition and diversity.

It is apparently the first amber fossil that can be definitively assigned to Tenthredininae. ABSTRACT Insects belonging to 12 orders, as well as mites, millipedes, woodlice and tardigrades have been collected from Pterldophyta. Primitive and modern, as well as general and specialist arthropods feed on pteridophytes. Insects and mites may cause slight to severe damage, all plant parts being susceptible. Several arthropods are pests of commercial Pteridophyta, their control being difficult due to the plants' sensitivity to pesticides. Efforts are currently underway to employ insects for the biological control of bracken and water ferns. Although Pteridophyta are believed to be relatively resistant to arthropods, the evidence is inconclusive; pteridophyte phytoecdysones do not appear to inhibit insect feeders. Other secondary compounds of preridophytes, like prunasine, may have a more important role in protecting bracken from herbivores. Several chemicals capable of adversely affecting insects have been extracted from Pteridophyta. The litter of pteridophytes provides a humid habitat for various parasitic arthropods, like the sheep tick. Ants often abound on pteridophytes (especially in the tropics) and may help in protecting these plants while nesting therein. These and other associations are discussed . lt is tenatively suggested that there might be a difference in the spectrum of arthropods attacking ancient as compared to modern Pteridophyta. The Osmundales, which, in contrast to other ancient pteridophytes, contain large amounts of ·phytoecdysones, are more similar to modern Pteridophyta in regard to their arthropod associates. The need for further comparative studies is advocated, with special emphasis on the tropics.

Redmond and Daniel A. Potter Abstract. Landscape professionals need target-selective insecticides for managing insect pests on flowering woody orna- mentals that may be visited by bees and other insect pollinators. Chlorantraniliprole, the first anthranilic diamide insec- ticide registered for use in urban landscapes, selectively targets the receptors that regulate the flow of calcium to control muscle contraction in caterpillars, plant-feeding beetles, and certain other phytophagous insects. Designated a reduced- risk pesticide by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, it has a favorable toxicological and environmental profile, including very low toxicity to bees and most types of predatory and parasitic insects that contribute to pest sup- pression. Chlorantraniliprole has become a mainstay for managing turfgrass pests, but little has been published concern- ing its performance against the pests of woody ornamentals. Researchers evaluated it against pests spanning five different orders: adult Japanese beetles, evergreen bagworm, eastern tent caterpillar, bristly roseslug sawfly, hawthorn lace bug, ole- ander aphid, boxwood psyllid, oak lecanium scale (crawlers), and boxwood leafminer, using real-world exposure scenarios. Chlorantraniliprole’s efficacy, speed of control, and residual activity as a foliar spray for the leaf-chewing pests was as good, or better, than provided by industry standards, but sprays were ineffective against the sucking pests (lace bugs, aphids, or scales). Basal soil drenches in autumn or spring failed to systemically control boxwood psyllids or leafminers, but autumn drenches did suppress roseslug damage and Japanese beetle feeding the following year.

    Crisicum 4. pp.431. _______________________________________________________________________________ A Dél-Tiszántúl annotált állattani bibliográfiájának alapvetése Kalivoda Béla Abstrackt Establishing the basis of the Annotated Zoological Bibliography of the South-Tiszántúl: The goal of this work was to initiate to collect the publications of the zoological data of the South- Tiszántúl (South-East Hungary, see on the maplet) namely the activity area of the Körös-Maros National Park Directorate. During the assembly of the bibliography my principal was the collection of zoological data. So the work contains publications of more or less accurate occurrence data. For the better usages sake the bibliography is annotated. Its items are provided with a code composed from the name of author(s), year of publishing and, if it is necessary, an additional letter code. Annotations contains these codes providing possibility of query by animal species, taxon and location of data. Bevezetés Munkám célja a Dél-Tiszántúl állattani adatait közl ő publikációk összegy űjtésének megindítása volt. Az itt közzétett anyag – kell ő kapacitás hiányában – nem módszeres irodalmi feldolgozáson alapul, hanem az id ők során felhalmozódott anyag rendszerezése, bár a témát érintő cikkek irodalomjegyzékeiben hivatkozott további tanulmányok lehet őség szerinti felkutatásával igyekeztem minél teljeskör űbbé tenni. A bibliográfia összeállítása során az állattani adatok összegyűjtése volt a vezérelvem, ezért az anyag olyan publikációkat tartalmaz, amelyek többé-kevésbé pontos el őfordulási adatokat tesznek közzé. Ennek megfelel ően nem szerepelnek a bibliográfiában leíró, népszerűsít ő publikációk akkor sem, ha valamely fajra vonatkozó, de nem adatként kezelhet ő utalásokat tartalmaznak. Könyveket csak abban az esetben szerepeltetek a felsorolásban, ha azok kifejezetten adatközl ő jelleg űek.
