With the Wyatt family’s generous support, a $1 million Ertan Gastroenterology Endowed Chair was established at the UTH McGovern Medical School [project #11563] in 2015. Also, a $1 million Chao Family Foundation donation matched by the Memorial Hermann Hospital System [MHHS] and a $2 million Ertan – Chao Endowed Directorship [project #902069] was established for the Ertan Digestive Disease Center of Excellence in 2018. The EERF is used for GI/Hepatology post –graduate education and research activities at the EDDC and the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the UT McGovern Medical School [UTMMS]. These efforts supported to place our GI/Hepatolgy and GI Surgery program#2 in Texas and #34 in the US out of 1,575 other GI/Hepatology and GI Surgery programs by the US News & World in 2018. We are placed above the BCM in Houston (#38), the Baylor-Dallas (#42), Yale and Duke (#39), the University Wisconsin (#42), the University of Chicago (#47), the Emory/UAB/UTSW (50’s) and various other GI/Hepatology and GI Surgery program. After the significant success of the Ertan Digestive Disease Center of Excellence since 2011, the framework is completed to establish the Houston Digestive Health Institute [HDHI] – a model that would be the first of its kind in Texas. The HDHI was strongly supported by the UTMMS and the MHHS for the tri-fold mission of multidisciplinary and integrated academic health care delivery, clinical research and postgraduate education with highest quality metrics by the outstanding UTMMS academicians in gastroenterology, hepatology, liver/pancreas transplantation surgery, GI and bariatric surgery, GI pathology and GI anesthesiology. We are continuing to be at the forefront of academic healthcare delivery, clinical research and postgraduate education in GI and Hepatology. Our mission and main focus is on the most compassionate expert academic patient care and research in medical and/or surgical treatments of our patients with GI and Hepatology diseases as well as training future experts and leaders in GI and Hepatology. We would like you to be our partners to assist our clinical research and educational mission with your generous tax-deductible donations in our philanthropic campaign. Your gifts payable to the EERF is mailed to the MHF, 929 Gessner, Suite 2650, Houston TX 77024. Few dramatists have written with more understanding about the human heart' -Michael Billington SHORT SYNOPSIS Hester Collyer (Rachel Weisz), a forty-year old woman, has left a privileged life with her husband, Sir William Collyer (Simon Russell Beale) in order to live with a young ex-RAF pilot, Freddie Page (Tom Hiddleston). But Hester and Freddie's relationship is characterized by drunken rows; though their love-life is passionate- they have little in common. When Freddie forgets her birthday, Hester attempts to kill herself. As a result, Hester's husband re- enters her life and offers her a second chance with him, which Hester refuses. Shaken by her suicide attempt, Freddie tells Hester the relationship is over. Heartbroken, Hester considers suicide again at a tube station, but changes her mind. Back at her apartment, the other tenants tell her that nobody is worth dying for. Hester finds Freddie at home, but he will leave the next day.

  • Reminder List for Distinguished Achievements During 2012 Reminder List of Productions Eligible for Awards
REMINDER LIST FOR DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENTS DURING 2012 REMINDER LIST OF PRODUCTIONS ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS All films that have qualified for consideration for 2012 Academy Awards in the non-specialized categories are listed alphabetically by title. Voters making selections in their own branch categories list only film titles on their ballots, not the individuals responsible for the various achievements. For that reason, as well as for reasons of printing time and convenience of using this pamphlet, full credit rosters are not provided for the listed films. An exception to the above exists in the four Acting categories, where simply listing titles would not provide enough voting information. Actors Branch members filling out their Nominations ballots must indicate both titles and the particular performers they are voting for. For that reason, the Reminder List provides a listing of up to fifty cast members for each film. Pictures eligible in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature and Foreign Language Film categories are also eligible in the Best Picture category, provided they meet the qualifications for the category. Foreign Language films are eligible for awards in other categories provided they meet the requirements of Awards Rules Two and Three. The reminder list is also available online at www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/rules/reminderlist.html A Notes ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER Benjamin Walker. Dominic Cooper. Anthony Mackie.

As an integral part of the Foreign Policy Studies Program, the Center offers independent research and recommendations for U.S. and European officials and policymakers, and it convenes seminars and public forums on poli- cy-relevant issues. CUSE’s research program focuses on the transformation of the European Union (EU); strategies for engaging the countries and regions beyond the frontiers of the EU including the Balkans, Caucasus, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine; and broader European security issues such as the future of NATO and forging common strategies on energy security. The Center also houses specific programs on France, Germany, Italy, and Turkey. About the Turkey Project Given Turkey’s geopolitical, historical and cultural significance, and the high stakes posed by the foreign policy and domestic issues it faces, Brookings launched the Turkey Project in 2004 to foster informed public consideration, high‐level private debate, and policy recommendations focusing on developments in Turkey. In this context, Brookings has collaborated with the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) to institute a U.S.-Turkey Forum at Brookings. The Forum organizes events in the form of conferences, sem- inars and workshops to discuss topics of relevance to U.S.-Turkish and transatlantic relations.
