The 2015-2016 budget will have no increases to the community assessment. Moving forward, three of the seven Board Members www.RivercrestCDD.org have been elected by the neighborhood representatives due to vacancies. As terms expire and vacancies are crested, these positions 3will be filled through the neighborhood representative election process. A very big change from the appointment process we have Meritus Districts endured for the past twelve years the HOA has existed. The reps should not ve swayed by others who are complacent and mired in the past. This also means getting rid of the “good ol boy” networks. No ‘cliques’ should be tolerated simply because they create hard feelings and bad credibility with good volunteers who are trying to make the right decisions for their neighbors and our community. We also need to understand what the HOA is all about. Rivercrest is a deed restricted community and as such we do not tolerate care jacked up in the driveways, parking on the grass, signage on vehicles parked in driveways or the street overnight to mention a few. We have an Architectural Committee which must approve an exterior changes, lanai enclosures and paint color changes, again to mention a few. Being a deed restricted community allows and requires our HOA (according to the laws in Florida) to have a system in place of www.RivercrestCDD.org violations and finish to close the loop on these restrictions by actually taking non-compliant owners to court.
