Opening Acclamation & Collect for Purity (BCP, p 355) Priest jBlessed be God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. People And blessed be God’s kingdom, now and for ever. Amen. Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen. Kyrie Eleison (BCP, p 356) Priest Lord, have mercy. People Christ, have mercy. Priest Lord, have mercy.

Collect of the Day Priest The Lord be with you. People And also with you. Priest Let us pray. rant, O merciful God, that your Church, being gathered together in unity by your Holy Spirit, Gmay show forth your power among all peoples, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. The First Lesson Romans 12:1-8 Reader A reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Romans. appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living Isacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God-- what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.. Reader Here ends the lesson. People Thanks be to God. The Second Lesson Matthew 16:13-20

Priest A reading from the Gospel according to Matthew When Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say , but others , and still others or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon son of ! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Then he sternly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah. Reader Here ends the lesson. People Thanks be to God. The Sermon The Reverend Sahdev Hymn NO 521 “Put forth, O God,Hymn thy Spirit’s 521 might”“Put for th, O God, thy spirit’s might” Chelsea Square

The Nicene Creed (BCP, p 358) e believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, W maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. Prayers of the People (BCP, p 385) I ask your prayers for God’s people throughout the world; for our Bishop John Taylor; for this gathering; and for all ministers and people. Pray for the Church. I ask your prayers for peace; for goodwill among nations; and for the well-being of all people. Pray for justice and peace. I ask your prayers for the poor, the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison. Pray for those in any need or trouble. I ask your prayers for all who seek God, or a deeper knowledge of him. Pray that they may find and be found by him. I ask your prayers for the departed Pray for those who have died. Additional prayers may be added here. The Lord’s Prayer Priest And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say, ur Father, who art in heaven, O hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. Announcements The Blessing The priest blesses the people.
