.—For & From—NASP PhD International Students INTRODUCTION Dear International Students soon arriving to the NASP, you are probably making your arrangements to leave your home country at the moment, but then you will also need to organize your arrival in Milan, Italy. This next step is often overwhelming and confusing, and we know it! On top of this, you will dive into a mainly only-Italian-speaking environment (including both Milan itself AND the University of Milan) and it will not be always easy. This is why we give you this Tip Guide which has been specifically designed to help you settle in Italy. As a future PhD student of the NASP coming from abroad (EU and non-EU countries), you will want and need some information about how is the best way to organize both your arrival and your life in Italy; this Tip Guide is the key! In this next period, you will have to understand where to go for the right office, and which documents to bring with you. What we did here is bringing together all the possible information you may need. The information already exists in many places (websites, offices, etc.), but we did a big job to combine everything here and to add our personal experiences to help and show you the way! The NASP International Tutors alongside the NASP organization committee have created this Tip Guide for this exact purpose. We suggest that you read it carefully and that you keep it for future reference. As for extra questions, the NASP Staff at the Via Pace desk and the NASP organization committee are prepared to offer extra advices and help if need be. Do not hesitate to email us, we will be ready to offer tips on how to make your arrival as smooth as possible. We will do our best to help you! NASP INTERNATIONAL TUTORS—NASP STAFF The University of Milan already provides help through the Welcome Desk.
