Fearn Breeding Cattle 2018 Beef Breeding Catalogue 2018/2019 1 Breeding Stock for Sale Welcome to our 2018 catalogue, we hope that you find something of interest and that suits your breeding requirements, please don’t hesitate give us a phone to discuss what you need and to arrange a viewing. Our herds are BVD accredited and vaccinated and we have been Johnes accredited for 9 years at Fearn and 2 years at West Garty where our Luing herd, which was founded in 2013 is based. All bulls have been semen tested and vet checked by Kenny Johnstone of ScotVet Bull breeding Services and are ready for work. All of the livestock that we produce at Fearn are reared on a diet which is predominantly grass and forage, we do supplement our bull’s diet with home grown cereals and silage throughout the winter Our heifers are calved at 2 years of age and we cull hard throughout our herds, which are all out wintered. We currently have five stock sires on farm allowing us to tailor our breeding programmes specifically matching specific bulls with different cow families. These stock sires are also used on our commercial cows which allows us to monitor performance in the commercial environment. Located where we are we realise that we may be quite some distance from many of you but please don’t let that put you off visiting, we can point you in the right direction for awesome local hotels and b and b’s. Alternatively why not ask us to video any bulls that are of interest or ask us to get some more photos for you to view. Delivery can also be arranged throughout mainland UK.
