We have a long tradition of cooperation with Mexico, especially outbound (CESI students hosted in Mexican laboratories for research placement, or for academic periods at partners institutions). Since 2017, we coordinate a Mexfitec together with Colima University, gathering 2 other French institutions and 4 Mexican ones. We have been pleased to host Mexican students since then, to welcome some of the mexican institutions representatives, and to send one of our researchers to give lectures and workshop on the smart city (Karim Beddiar in 2018- In Colima). We now aim at developing new schemes of cooperation in a close future, maybe dual degrees and at reinforcing our ongoing fruitful cooperation.

Also, growth faculty mobility is still limited at UDEM and the development of the research function, because UDEM has understood itself so far as primarily a teaching-centered institution. Our strategy targets toward Mexico Targets education, research and R&D. Education in the actual context make us develop distance learning. The results of research should not

We are looking forward to first develop research cooperations with Mexican universities on smart systems. Since this cover a wide area, we mostly target applications in life science and environment. France is the 3rd partner of the University of Guanajuato at the international level, after the United States and Spain.

The University of Guanajuato seeks to strengthen its collaboration with strategic partners and develop new collaborative projects.
