PRESS RELEASE N.10 PRESS RELEASE n.10 Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi (Fiat Punto Procar) lead the first leg of the 38th edition of Rally del Salento, valid for the European and the Italian Championships of this year. Longhi (Subaru) is second, preceding Dallavilla (Renault). Cantamessa (Mitusbishi), Navarra (Subaru) and Travaglia (Peugeot) follow. On Saturday 19th June the second and decisive leg will be run. Trofeo Stilo Abarth: Perego wins, preceding Medici and Chemin. Perego thus consolidates his leadership. Lecce, 18th June 2004œ He skilfully defends his position on the wet, he starts an attack on the dry tarmac gaining a good lead over the others. Paolo Andreucci, the 2003 Italian champion, with his co-driver Anna Andreussi œ on Fiat Punto Abarth 2004 œ leads the first leg of the 38° Rally del Salento. After 13 out of the 24 Special Stages, the driver from Garfagnana, Procar/Pirelli team, precedes of 38“1 Piero Longhi on Subaru Impreza Sti (Aimont/Pirelli team). The temporary classification of this first part of the competition proclaims on the third position of the podium Andrea Dallavilla on Clio Super1600 Renault (Power car/Pirelli team). Longhi e Dallavilla are separated by 3“1. The first leg of the 2004 —Salento“ was characterised by three rounds of four special stages in the area of Capo di Santa Maria di Leuca: variable weather conditions with heavy showers of rain at the beginning, followed by wind gusts that swept aways the clouds. After midday, the sun apperared and the second and the third rounds were run on dry tarmac. Positive start for the all-wheel drive cars (Mitsubishi e Subaru), while the second part of the day was dominated by the Super1600, faster and lighter (Fiat, Renault, Citroen, Peugeot). Leading most of the Special Stages, Andreucci imposed an untenable rhythm in the second part of the leg. Longhi (Trt), fast and constant, tails the Italian champion but he has to face Dallavilla. Because of the slow punture of a tyre, Dallavilla lost two ranks (he was second in the general classification) catching up Cantamessa in the final part. Luca Cantamessa (team RalliArt Italy/Gass racing) got two punctures but he keeps a good position in the general classification (4th) and in the N group classification (2nd). The leader of the Italian championship, Andrea Navarra (Subaru Impreza), is fifth in the general classification. Travaglia on Peugeot 206 Super1600 is sixth in the general classification and third in his class (Michelin tyres). Confident on the wet tarmac, tomorrow he will start an attack, Navarra precedes him of 14“9. Giandomenico Basso (Fiat Punto-Trico-Michelin) was not lucky: the drive shaft broke on the 12th SS: he‘s seventh in the general classification (at 4“2 from Travaglia). Stefano Bizzarri (Punto-Procar, 1° Trofeo Fiat Punto) is eighth: in the final phase he was able to overtake his team fellow Matteo Gamba (1° Under 27). Luca Rossetti (Citroen Saxo), after bumpings and punctures, is tenth in the general classification. Andreucci won 4 SS (7.a, 8.a, 11.a e 13.a), Dalla villa won 2 SS (4.a e 12.a), Cantamessa 2 (2.a e 10.a), Longhi 2 (1.a e 6.a), Sottile 1 (3.a) e Navarra 1 (5.a). 31 crews out of the 42 controlled concluded the first leg. Tomorrow the crews will compete in the second and final leg which is made up of 12 SS (118 km). On Saturday 19th June at 8.30 pm., in Piazza Mazzini in Lecce, the prize-giving ceremony will take place. The leader of the forth competition of the TROFEO FIAT STILO ABARTH was the 23-years old driver Andrea Perego and his co-driver Claudio Vischioni. Supported by the Hi Tec team, from the Movisport stable, showed off skill and determination in the final phase of the race, starting an untenable attack to the most accredited competitors. Among them, we notice Davide Medici, second in the Fiat classification, and Christina Chemin was third at 17 tenths from Medici. Forth rank for Matteo Beltrami who preceded Dino Romano and Alex Bertuzzi. Exciting final stage of the competition for the Fiat drivers: Perego broke the hub in the last stage, Medici suffered from problems to the engine and the gearbox, Chemin knocked the left front of the car and Feltrami had problems to the ignition and the clutch. Thanks to this brilliant result, Perego consolidates his leadership.     PRESS RELEASE 10/12/2013 FIA ERC: SANREMO (OCTOBER 12, 2013) PEUGEOT CLAIMS ITALIAN TITLE MORE HARD TIMES FOR THE PEUGEOT RALLY ACADEMY The 2013 Rallye Sanremo turned out to be a drama-packed and highly emotional roller-coaster ride! The Peugeot Rally Academy lost Jérémi Ancian on SS3, and an ’off’ on Day 1 forced his team-mate Craig Breen to make use of the ‘Rally2’ ruling. Peugeot Italy’s Paolo Andreucci also went ‘off’ while leading. Despite this cascade of incidents, 207S2000 driver Giandomenico Basso went on to clinch the win and hand Peugeot its seventh Italian Manufacturers’ title. Peugeot Sport’s customer competition ambassadors Once again, the challenging Rallye Sanremo provided an eloquent demonstration of the 207 S2000’s potential. Although now in its seventh season, it continues to deliver a winning cocktail of performance and reliability, not only in the case of the cars backed by the brand’s subsidiaries but also those run by privateer customers. “We make no difference between the two,” stresses Peugeot Sport Director Bruno Famin. “They all benefit from the same data, evolutions and recommendations.” In Italy, the 207 S2000 was in dominant form and the nail-biting scrap which opposed different Peugeot teams and drivers went down to the wire. Victory eventually ended up in the hands of Basso after a thrilling duel with Bouffier, despite the Frenchman dropping more than a minute after an ‘off’ on Friday afternoon. He responded by posting an impressive sequence of top times to close to within seven seconds of Basso going into the final stage.

    RALLY AND CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY FOR PIRELLI IN SANREMO Milan, October 15, 2012 – Peugeot Italia driver Paolo Andreucci has become Italian Rally Champion for the seventh time, his sixth title with Pirelli, while the Pirelli-equipped Ford Fiesta of Giandomenico Basso won the Sanremo Rally last weekend. A third place finish for the privateer Peugeot of Alessandro Perico made it two Pirelli-equipped cars on the podium, rounding off a hugely successful weekend for the Italian tyre manufacturer, against stiff competition from the regular teams on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, of which the Sanremo Rally was a scoring round once more. Of the top five finishers, four were equipped by Pirelli: thanks also to the brilliant performance from Stefano Albertini in another Peugeot 207 S2000. Pirelli introduced a new evolution within the famed RX family of tyres in Sanremo: the RX5c, which was made available to all competitors. The RX5c, which specifically targets long and moderately abrasive stages – a well-known hallmark of Sanremo – helped make the difference for Basso and Andreucci, while a strong performance from Perico underlined how the new tyre is equally effective in private hands. The latest RX7a tyre, a medium compound, was also available – and this was used by the majority of competitors in low temperatures and on the daunting 44- kilometre Ronde stage run in the dark on Friday night. Basso’s victory on this stage (one of five that he claimed on the 10-stage event) proved decisive to his overall success. Andreucci, who drove conservatively to fifth place in order to ensure another Italian title with Pirelli, said: “The product was good before, but the latest evolution has taken it to a different level, especially on long stages, both in terms of consistency and speed.

Nothing is decided yet: Only about a third of the approximate 400 kilometres of special stages have been mastered at the most difficult WRC event of the year, which many top teams failed to survive unscathed on Friday. The most difficult stages await the best drivers in the world on Saturday and Sunday. "We will go on the attack again over the remaining two days. It's simply awesome to be on the great world championship stage once again. The Rally Sardinia has proved to be the difficult test we expected," said Jan Kopecký.

    1 Paolo Andreucci e Anna Andreussi vincono il 62esimo Rallye Sanremo di Alice Rinaldi – 11 Aprile 2015 – 23:55 Paolo Andreucci e Anna Andreussi, su Peugeot 208, sono i vincitori della 62esima edizione del Rallye Sanremo, secondo appuntamento valido per il Campionato Italiano Rally. Il campione toscano pone, per la terza volta, la propria firma sull’albo d’oro della competizione, al termine di una gara dominata dall’inizio alla fine. In testa dopo la prima speciale, Andreucci sigla la vittoria di sette prove su dieci e tra queste la Ronde notturna, gli oltre 45 chilometri da correre alla luce delle fanaliere che da soli valgono una carriera. “E’ stata una vittoria molto difficile”, commenta il vincitore nel corso della conferenza stampa di fine gara. “Un Sanremo lottato e combattuto, fin dalla prima tappa dove i tempi fatti segnare da chi poteva ambire al successo erano molto vicini”. Primo tra questi Giandomenico Basso che, assistito alle note da Lorenzo Granai, al volante della sua Ford Fiesta conclude a 34”3 dai vincitori. “Dopo una prima tappa in cui, al di là dei tempi, ho faticato a fare quello che sono abituato a fare sull’asfalto e a Sanremo, questa mattina abbiamo fatto un po’ di chilometri e poi ci siamo accontentati di un’ottima seconda posizione. SCANDOLA TRIUMPHS WITH PIRELLI ON RALLY DELL’ADRIATICO Milan, May 20, 2013 – Skoda Italia driver Umberto Scandola has taken a spectacular victory on the Rally dell’Adriatico in central Italy, using Pirelli’s gravel rally tyres. Scandola, whose team switched to Pirelli this year, clinches his first victory of the season on the third round of the championship, boosting him into the lead of the championship ahead of another Pirelli-equipped driver, Alessandro Perico. Once again, Pirelli dominated all the classes. Not only did Scandola lead from the first stage to the last, but it was an all-Pirelli podium, with the Peugeot 207 S2000s of Mauro Trentin and Stefano Albertini in second and third. Pirelli also won the two-wheel drive category, thanks to World Rally Championship up-and-coming star Sebastien Chardonnet, who was eighth overall in a Citroen DS3 R3T and the R2 class with multiple Italian Rally Champion Paolo Andreucci. “It was the perfect rally for us,” said Scandola, who led from start to finish. “Our aim before we came here was firmly to come and win and that is exactly what we did. The control and security we had from the Pirelli tyres was exceptional and it played an important part in our victory.” The drivers used Pirelli’s Scorpion tyres throughout the event with different patterns and compounds. The XR5 tyre was used on the asphalt superspecial, with most teams opting for scrubbed tyres in order to generate the most grip despite a gravel car set-up.
