Notes. Eucalyptus dimr?a/a has been confused with -E stowqrdii but differs notably in its habitat of sandstone, laterite or kaolinite rubble associatedwith hills andbreakaways. E s/owardii occursmainly on sands, although it occun on decomposingstony graniterises north-west ofMelIed:lr'. E. stolrqrdii differs markedly fromE. diminuta in its larger, very glossy leaves, and the much more strongly ribbed buds. The two species, withE.sargentii, are notable amongt.ser. Erectaeby the slender,non-flattened peduncles.

Eucalyptus diminutq differs ftom E. sporadicaby the teretepeduncles, shorter, slightly ribbed, obtuseopercula and smaller, usually obconic fruit. It diffels from'. sargentii stbsp.Jitllens by the consistentlysmooth bark, slightly ribbed obtuseopercula, and occurrenceon hills and breakaways.
