Charles-Camille Heidsieck set up his own champagne company in 1851. The pursuit of the highest quality was always the company’s main aim. Based in Reims, it is one of the few houses that is able to use the fabulous chalk “crayères” – cellars under the city. The “crayères” were hollowed out during Gallo-Roman times so that the chalk could be used for building.

Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne having been founded by Pierre Gosset in 1584. He was making only still red and white wine. It is in the 18th century that Gosset started to produce sparkling wines. Formerly located in the small town of Ay they moved in 2010 to new premises in Epernay.
