Some of the most powerful (and important) words ever spoken were from the angelic December 9 messengers who announced the Savior’s birth to some unsuspecting and terrified 8:15 Worship...... 324 shepherds many years ago: “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy 10:45 Worship...... 302 that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the David a Life Groups...... 631 Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10-11). At that moment, I’m sure they didn’t Mission Churches...... 305 realize just how good that news really was! Many still don’t. They see the lights and Nursing Homes...... 112 decorations; they shop for the gifts; they may even attend a church service. But do they Outreach Bible Study...... 9 really see and know what God has done and what He still offers them? This year at Christmas Eve, we will be presenting the story of that Good News through music and THE PEOPLE GAVE… Scripture. I’ll conclude with a different perspective: the perspective of the angels who General Fund Given December 2...... $32,911.12 according to Scripture, “long to look into these things” regarding our great salvation. Given Year-to-Date...... $2,434,701.51 The angels knew of the goodness and glory of God. They knew of the great separation Year-to-Date Goal...... $2,669,038.50 of man from God over sin. And they knew of the grace required to bridge that chasm. Partners In Ministry This year, we want all people who come to our services to see and know and receive the Given Year-to-Date...... $1,208.05 same. Will you invite everyone you can to our Christmas Eve services? The services Lottie Moon Christmas Offering will be at 5pm and 7pm and will be identical. We expect a full congregation at the Given to Date...... $54,695.94 earlier service, so if you are able to attend the later service, that would really help with space.

Praying that many will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing will have life in his name,

2012 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering Pastor Paul Calvary’s Goal: $60,000 Given to Date: $54,695.94 National Goal: $175 Million Ministry News Help us reach the goal this Sunday! C.O.M.E. - Calvary On Mission Everyday Great Reports I never get tired of bragging on our children. God is doing great things with all three of them. Yes, I am talking about our missions! This past week, Southern Community Fellowship had 131 in worship with three to join, one by profession of faith and the other two by statement. Dothan Country Fellowship had 96 and they had three people to receive Christ. Iglesia Bautista El Calvario had over 100 and will soon baptize 3+. Sermon Schedule All this is happening partly because of your giving to our budget. God is taking the funds that we are contributing and multiplying its effectiveness. Please continue to Sunday, December 16 pray for our kids. 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Message by Paul Thompson Greeter Ministry FULLY PLEASING: We need more greeters.
