But God smiles upon every gift given from a joyful heart, no matter the amount. Every penny given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is used to help support about 5,000 Southern Baptist missionaries serving overseas. Last year, more than 2.2 million people got to hear the Gospel from those missionaries and their national partners. And from those hearers, your missionary force reported baptizing 333,823 new believers and starting 28,873 new churches. Information for Last Week Page 2 November 26- From the Senior Pastor December 2, 2012 I remember one who spoke on the missionary question one day saying, “The great question is not ‘Will not the lost be saved if we do not send them the gospel?’ but ‘are THE PEOPLE CAME... we saved ourselves if we do not send them the gospel?’” December 2 8:15 Worship ................................ 419 - Charles Spurgeon 10:45 Worship .............................338 Life Connection Groups ...............740 I suspect that nothing quite reveals our true understanding of the great salvation that Mission Churches ........................236 God has given us nor demonstrates our love for our Savior than our participation in the Nursing Homes ............................100 global work of the Gospel. This Sunday we have the opportunity to obediently honor Outreach Bible Study ..................... 13 God and partner with the over four-thousand men and women who have answered the call and daily face the challenge of taking the Good News to those who have never THE PEOPLE GAVE… heard. During our two worship services this Sunday, all of our non-designated gifts General Fund will go to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Our goal is $60,000.00. Our church’s Given December 2 ..........$54,080.27 giving will support the work of one full-time missionary, plus a bit more (The average Given Year-to-Date .... $2,401,790.39 cost of support for one field missionary is $49,800 per year). While we sincerely hope Partners In Ministry, Given Year-to-Date ........... $1,208.05 to reach our goal on this one grand Sunday, we will continue to receive the Lottie Moon offering into January. Did you know that there are over 6.9 billion people in the world today? Those people make up 3954 identifiable people groups. Of those, Southern Baptist missionaries have only engaged 787 people groups with the gospel! That leaves 3167 unengaged Sermon Schedule groups (meaning they have not rejected Christ – they have not yet heard of Christ!) remaining in the world, comprising billions of people. Surely now is the time to step Sunday, December 9 up our efforts, sacrifice a bit of our own comforts, and give generously to the cause of 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. international missions.
