RE: Cardiff Games Primary School Girls Football Final

Congratulations on qualifying for the finals of the Sport Cardiff Primary School Football Competition 2016 in partnership with Cardiff University. Following your success at the regional competition we would like to invite your school to the city wide final.

DATE: Tuesday 19th April TIME: 10am – 2pm VENUE: Cardiff University, Llanrumney Playing Fields

Schools can bring a squad of up to 10 pupils from years 5 and 6 with 6 players on the pitch at any one time.

All schools entering will receive 10 points towards the Cardiff Games and additional points for your final placing. You can keep an eye on the league table by visiting www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/Cardiff-Games.

Pupils should bring food for the day and a drink. Please be prepared for all weather conditions as we will be outside on the 3G pitch.

Basic Rules  Goal keepers are only allowed to handle the ball within the designated area  Goal keepers are only allowed to use their hands to distribute the ball (Throwing or roll outs accepted, no kicking)  Corners will feature  Kick off to be decided prior to game using coin toss or similar method  When a free kick is awarded, opposition must retreat one yard.  Throw-ins will take place if the ball goes out of bounds  You cannot score directly from a throw-in.  There will be no off-side rule.  Substitutes can be made at any time – Just alert the referee! Time will not be stopped.
