A plastic surgeon also spoke in 3:30 pm Legion of Mary/Rm 103 the morning session explaining the ethics of “sexchange” surgery and the 6:00 pm PSR/Parish Building importance of helping people deal with their woundedness, not with surgery, but with loving help. The first speaker is the leader of a group called the Culture Project, which helps young people to live chaste lives in today’s culture. The 6:00 pm Card Ministry/Rm 103 final speaker was a woman who has same sex attraction and talked about her 6:30 pm Women’s Prayer Group/JPII conversion to the Catholic faith and her own struggles in leading a lov- ing and chaste life in today’s church and culture. WED February 27, 2019 6:00 pm Family Choir/Church I think that it was perhaps the finest conference I ever attended. It helped us realize what we, as Catholics, are contending with in our culture in regard 7:00 pm PreBaptism Class/Rm 103 to sex and gender issues. God made us out of love and for love. • May 17, St. Paschal Baylon, Confessor
MAY 17, ST. PASCHAL BAYLON, CONFESSOR Errors? [email protected] St. Paschal Baylon, was a simple lay brother of the Franciscan Order, and, by preference, occupied himself with the roughest and most servile tasks. He was distinguished by an ardent love and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. He died in the odor of sanctity; May 15, 1592. Even after death his body moved and his eyes opened in an act of adoration when the priest raised up the sacred host at the elevation in the Mass. Pope Leo XIII declared him protector of all Eucharistic Congresses and works.
