TROHA Recently the Diocese of Cleveland sponsored a conference OFFICE HOURS attended by over 800 people on Ensuring Human Dignity, People MONDAYTHURSDAY, 9:00 am8:00 pm FRIDAY, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm As Divine Gift. It was a remarkable conference lasting from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. In the morning a priest spoke about MON February 25,2019 Christian Anthropology and the Church’s teaching on the meaning of sexual relations. A plastic surgeon also spoke in 3:30 pm Legion of Mary/Rm 103 the morning session explaining the ethics of “sexchange” surgery and the 6:00 pm PSR/Parish Building importance of helping people deal with their woundedness, not with surgery, but with loving help. The afternoon session featured two TUE February 26, 2019 women. The first speaker is the leader of a group called the Culture Project, which helps young people to live chaste lives in today’s culture. The 6:00 pm Card Ministry/Rm 103 final speaker was a woman who has same sex attraction and talked about her 6:30 pm Women’s Prayer Group/JPII conversion to the Catholic faith and her own struggles in leading a lov- ing and chaste life in today’s church and culture. WED February 27, 2019 6:00 pm Family Choir/Church I think that it was perhaps the finest conference I ever attended. It helped us realize what we, as Catholics, are contending with in our culture in regard 7:00 pm PreBaptism Class/Rm 103 to sex and gender issues. God made us out of love and for love.
