El hecho de leerlos y realizar las actividades propuestas significa una clara ventaja para el estudiante, es por ello que proponemos su lectura. Las actividades serán corregidas en clase. Luego cada docente determinara como realizara la evaluación en su espacio. Todo ingresante debe tener la documentación completa para ingresar a 1º año antes del 31/05. La constancia de título en trámite tiene validez por 60 días. IMPORTANTE En la parte superior de cada texto puedes observar un cuadro que indica el número de texto, el espacio o materia correspondiente y la relevancia o importancia del mismo, esto te servirá para guiarte en la selección de lecturas. Es decir, cuanto el número de relevancia se acerca más a 5, mas importante es el texto, por lo tanto debes leerlo antes de los números más bajos. TEXTO Nº1 ESPACIO FILOSÓFICO- RELEVANCIA PEDAGOGICO I 5 C UADERNILLO DE INGRESO 2 0 1 8 | 3 Actividades: I.S.F.D. y T N°103 - Profesorados de Historia y Geografía ESTIMADO INGRESANTE: Por medio de este escrito te damos la bienvenida a nuestro (y a partir de este momento tuyo también) Instituto de Formación Docente y Técnica Nº 103, para muchos sencilla y cariñosamente “EL 103”. En él encontraras un grupo de personas dispuestas a acompañarte en este nueva elección que has realizado para tu vida. Este nuevo proceso que hoy comenzaste seguramente te provocará una gran cantidad de dudas y preguntas. Estas se irán desvaneciendo a lo largo de las primeras clases, pero al mismo tiempo aparecerán otras que las reemplazarán, ese es el mecanismo de crecimiento intelectual que, a su vez se transformará en crecimiento personal. Cuántas veces te habrás preguntado: ¿Cuándo el hombre comenzó a ser hombre? ¿Por qué el hombre necesitó escribir? ¿Qué sucedió realmente cuando se encontraron americanos y europeos? ¿Cuáles fueron las causas reales de la Revolución de Mayo? ¿Por qué, si la ciencia progresa tanto, ese progreso no llega a todas las personas? ¿Por qué esta sociedad es tan desigual? ¿Para qué sirve estudiar historia? ¿Cuándo la sociedad humana finalizará de contaminar al planeta? Este es el momento en que comenzarás a encontrar algunas respuestas. Respuestas que solamente vos serás capaz de formular. El cuerpo de docentes que forma la carrera del Profesorado de Historia y Geografía estaremos a tu lado acompañándote en el transcurso de los próximos cuatro años. Nuestra intención es tratar de dar respuestas a esos interrogantes que surgirán en ti, pero también nos interesa, por sobre todo, tu persona. Estamos a tu disposición para dialogar, ayudarte, asistirte técnica y afectivamente, en definitiva, para cooperar con vos en estos pasos que comienzas a dar. Durante el primer año incorporarás las primeras herramientas teóricas de cada una de las Áreas y Perspectivas del primer año de la carrera. Para que este comienzo lo realices de maneras firme te recomendamos que, previamente al inicio de la cursada, leas con atención los textos de este cuadernillo y, si te animas, comiences a resolver las actividades. Si bien esto es lo aconsejable, durante las clases iniciales haremos el recorrido necesario por cada una de ellas. Galván Vicedirector Unidad Académica Directora Unidad Académica C UADERNILLO DE INGRESO 2 0 1 8 | 4 Actividades: I.S.F.D. y T N°103 - Profesorados de Historia y Geografía Al inicio del presente cuadernillo se encuentra “El manifiesto de ideas, valores e intenciones de la Carrera de Historia”, que fue construido en forma colectiva por los docentes de la carrera para expresar su posicionamiento epistemológico en relación a la ciencia histórica y su enseñanza. La lectura atenta y crítica de los textos que forman este cuerpo, la presencia activa durante las clases y la correcta resolución de las actividades propuestas llevaran al ingresante a un exitoso inicio de su carrera terciaria. Te invitamos a ver un film muy interesante que como dijimos en la charla inicial en el mes de diciembre, posee componente de Historia, pues en la mina de Potosi se registraron los mayores saqueos de riquezas y homicidios por trabajo forzado de la historia de los pueblos originarios. Al mismo tiempo, Potosi nos muestra la relación del ambiente con las sociedades que la habitan y por ultimo, nos muestra a la escuela como motor de cambio social. A través de los ojos de los niños, nos encontramos con el mundo de los devotos mineros católicos que afirman sus lazos con Dios antes de entrar a Cerro Rico, también conocido como “la montaña que come hombres vivos”. Es una creencia antigua que el diablo, representado por estatuas construidas en los túneles, determina el destino de todos los que trabajan en las minas, las cuales datan del siglo XVI. A medida que conocemos a los hermanos, vemos sus temores y esperanzas de futuro y ocasionalmente avistamos sus almas infantiles asomando a través de sus caras estoicas. Criados sin padre, los niños asumen muchas responsabilidades adultas, en particular el mayor, Basilio, enseña y protege a sus hermanos menores. De todos modos, está decidido a ir a la escuela y estudiar para que él y su familia puedan dejar las minas algún día. El Potosí y los indios Hace 450 años que se explotan las minas de plata de Cerro Rico, en Bolivia. Se calcula que han muerto 8 millones de personas desde entonces en las minas. Hoy día, unos 5 mil indios, agrupados en cooperativas, siguen buscando los restos de minerales que quedan en Cerro Rico. La conocen como la "montaña come hombres". El documental cuenta la historia de Basilio Vargas, un niño de 14 años, y su hermano Bernardino, de 12, mientras trabajan en las minas de Cerro Rico en Potosí (Bolivia). A través de la mirada de los niños, conoceremos el mundo de los mineros, devotos de la religión católica, que rompen sus ataduras con Dios en cuanto entran en las montañas. Se trata de una antigua creencia que considera que el diablo, representado por centenares de estatuas construidas en los túneles, determina el destino de todos aquellos que trabajan en las minas. Huérfanos de padre asumen las responsabilidades del cabeza de familia y compaginan su trabajo con la asistencia a la escuela. Basilio sabe que la escuela es su única posibilidad de escapar de su destino en la mina. Nº 103* (…) planteamos un concepto de totalidad, que, sin caer en totalizaciones reduccionistas, sea capaz de develar los silencios de las corrientes hegemónicas en las ciencias sociales y de hacer emerger las voces de otros protagonistas de la historia. Se trata de incorporar datos de la realidad dentro de un marco comprensivo, para evaluar críticamente esas versiones que, al considerar sólo una parte de los procesos históricos, al desarticular los fenómenos sociales y múltiples espacios, al seleccionar unos rasgos y eludir otros, pretenden imponer una versión “científica” del relato de la historia que ve sólo el rostro del progreso y no el del espanto (…)1 Durante dos mil nueve, los profesores de Carrera de Historia del I.S.F.D.Y T. Nº103 trabajamos en forma colectiva en un documento que exprese nuestra forma de entender la enseñanza de la historia en la comunidad de Villa Urbana.

Kahler #6760120 Supervisor: Dr. Naomi van Steenbergen Secondary Reader: Dr. Matthias Kramm June 2021 1 Reconsidering Virtue in the Anthropocene Summary KAHLER, JONATHON, M.A. of Philosophy in Applied ethics, June 2021 Reconsidering Virtue in the Anthropocene In this paper I explore the role of individual virtue within the Anthropocene. Authors like Stephen Gardiner and Dale Jamieson appeal to a return to individual character in order to overcome the moral corruption of climate change. In response, virtue ethicists have proposed new virtues that promote the flourishing of humanity at a global scale. However, these “species virtues” have diminished individual flourishing and agency in the process. By incorporating these species virtues into what it means to flourish as an individual, we may return to individual character as a way to flourish in the Anthropocene. I aim to illustrate how a return to individual flourishing, and the corresponding virtues is not only suitable for coping with climate change, but also motivates us to overcome the challenges of the Anthropocene. Returning to individual character grants us access to public virtues and the ethical tools of role models. In doing so, these role models may motivate us to act more virtuously. When paired with public virtues, we may be able to build the necessary institutions to overcome the moral corruption of climate change.

One accurate telling of this past year celebrates its lasting opportunities in the form of private sector engagement and activism, with courageous citizens choosing to translate their care and sense of responsibility for each other and our planet into meaningful action. Another telling, of course, would feature its many challenging and frustrating aspects. We choose the former telling - this is the narrative that is true for 1% for the Planet: Our global network grew in size and activity across 2017, with both businesses and individuals joining the movement and creating robust partnerships with environmental nonprofits. It is unwanted materials and objects that people have thrown away. It is often also called trash , garbage , rubbish , or junk. It can be solid , liquid , or gas , or it can be waste heat. There are many different kinds of waste. Garbage is the waste we produce daily in our homes, including old or unwanted food, chemical substances, paper, broken furniture, used containers, and other things. When waste is a liquid or gas, it can be called an emission. This is usually pollution. Sanitation is proper handling of human waste. Waste can also be something abstract something that you cannot touch , for example "a waste of time" or "wasted opportunities". When people use the words waste or wasted in this way, they are saying directly or indirectly that something has been used badly using too much of it or using it incorrectly. People have thrown away waste in heaps for thousands of years. In modern homes and businesses , garbage is normally placed in waste containers of some sort. It is then moved to the street, where it can be collected and taken to a place designed to hold, destroy or recycle garbage. Some waste materials, such as paper , wood , glass , metals , and plastic containers , can be recycled reused.

She posts on Instagram, engag- es with Facebook followers, and writes about homemade eyeliner and lip balm, worm composting, and shopping bulk bins – anything to avoid unnec- essary waste. Her trash for the past year – anything that hasn’t been com- posted or recycled – fits in an 8oz jar. Kellogg is earnest, enthusiastic, and admittedly still figuring out what it means to be zero waste. The aspiring actor has also weathered her fair share of criticism. “I’m not even that big yet and I get so much hate mail,” says Kellogg, who draws 10,000 unique page views a month and has 800 subscribers. She’s been chastised by vegans for eating eggs, and one visiting relative walked around Kellogg’s house pointing out anything made of plastic. She’s also been called out as overly privileged, even though she lives in a modest two-bedroom house in Vallejo, a blue-collar city 32 miles north-east of San Francisco. “They just nitpick every little thing because zero waste sounds like such an ultimatum,” Kellogg says.
