Island of Capri is located south of , 3 km from the pensinsula. This small island is about 6 km long and one-three km wide, covering an area of about 10 square km. Between Mount Tiberio to the east and Mount Solaro to the west is the small town of Capri; Anacapri is located to the west of Mount Solaro.

Villa Anacapri is located in Anacapri, halfway between the village and the famous Blue . Capri and the harbor are just 15 minutes by car or bus. The house is located on the road to the , just 3 km (less than two miles) from the center of Anacapri (with restaurants, spa, tennis, shopping, taxis) and even less to the Blue Grotto beach.

This historic villa has one of the most spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the Island of . The villa was built by Prince von Hessen-Kassel, a distinguished German painter, who dedicated the villa to his wife, a descendant of the Italian Royal Family. This beautifully designed and charming house has been recently restored to create a harmonious blend between classic taste and modern creature comforts. Beautiful paintings and prints adorn the walls, filling each room with a sense of warmth, character and distinction.

Walled gardens are full of fragrant Mediterranean flowers. A large terrace has both shaded and sunny areas, several built in banquettes, and it boasts breathtaking views of the blue sea. The terrace is surrounded by olive trees and decorated with pots with citrus trees and other flowering plants. A circular pool is just off to the side of the house. The pool is romantically lit at night. Motorbikes can be hired on the island, but not cars. You can bring a car onto the island, but we recommend using taxis and bus to get around.

What is there to do apart from sunbathing? Experience the magic of the blue grotto: the Emperor Tiberius' blue nymphaeum. Visit the collection of , 's residence between 1896 and 1910. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic center of Capri, with the fabulous boutiques. Explore by boat the island's unique coastline, swim close to the hidden caves and sunbath in the secluded beaches. Visit , one of the Emperor Tiberius' many villas on Capri. Get the chairlift up to the summit of Mount Solaro. Walk along the lanes of Anacapri as far as the Migliera viewpoint. Have a drink in the Piazzetta: the heart of Capri's social life, a tiny square bordered by chic cafes, where the worlds beautiful people come to be seen after their shopping in the exclusive boutiques of the historic center. Order a pair of made-to-measure sandal and have it ready one hour later. Enjoy the food, the wine of the island and take a special cooking class directed by a professional chef. History Caesar Augustus was the first to discover the charm of Capri when he visited the island in 29 BC. He was followed by Tiberius who started the construction of 12 villas (27-37 AD). Included in the price are a standard first dinner & a basic grocery shopping: Standard dinner on your first evening, after a long trip: It consists in a dinner that the guests will find ready in the kitchen with the instructions for heating. The menu can fit vegetarian guests too. No changes are possible for the first dinner. Basically it consists in a pasta al forno, a vegetable tarte, salad, and fruit. Bread, water and wine are included. Basic grocery shopping: It is a basic shopping for the first breakfast and not a grocery stocking. The quantity of the items will be adjusted by the staff according to the number of guests. The following items are included: milk, coffee, tea, bread, biscuits, sugar, salt, water, fruit, eggs, oil, butter, jam, orange juice, cereals. Continental breakfast, bed, bath and kitchen linens, air-conditioning in 3 of the 4 bedrooms and upstairs sitting room, water, electricity, gas, Internet WIFI connection, cleaning service 3 hours per day Monday to Saturday (except holidays), final cleaning, garden and pool maintenance 6 days per week all included in the price.
