Lesley Griffiths AS/MS Gweinidog yr Amgylchedd, Ynni a Materion Gwledig Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs Mick Antoniw MS Chair of the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee [email protected] 18 September 2020 Dear Mick, Further to my attendance at Committee on 14 September, I agreed to provide a definitive list of the installations in Wales captured by the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Order 2020. I also agreed to request information from Natural Resources Wales (NRW) on how it may use authorised persons to monitor compliance on its behalf and on NRW’s position regarding what would be considered reasonable prior notice, with detail of the average time used previously. A definitive list of the installations which will be captured by the Order is attached, based on the current database of Welsh installations participating in the EU Emissions Trading System. The list details whether it is a participant in the main scheme (indicated by GHG) or one of the opt-outs and the activity or activities undertaken at the installation which requires a permit under this scheme. With regards to the use of authorised persons, NRW have responded as follows: “This power provides regulators with flexibility in terms of access to and use of specialist resources. The regulator has a statutory duty to determine emissions where an operator has failed to do so and these powers enable a regulator to appoint an agent (e.g. a verifier), perhaps with specialist process knowledge, to visit premises to gather information to calculate emissions. We envisage use of this power would occur rarely and most likely in circumstances where an operator refuses to submit emissions information”.

FORD AUTOTEAM THE MAGAZINE FOR ALL FORD DEALER STAFF ISSUE 3/2016 EDITORIAL Changing Times It’s all change for the management team at the Henry Ford Academy. Stuart Harris has moved on to a new position within Ford of Europe and, as I move into his role, I hope to continue with his goal of driving up training standards. Also joining the team is new Academy Principle, Kevin Perks, who brings with him a lifetime of automotive industry experience. Dan Savoury, the new Vice Principal, joined the Academy earlier this year and also has a wealth of industry and training experience that will help us continue to improve our training which, in turn, benefits your business. I hope to use the experience gained in my previous sales and marketing roles within Ford to help our training continue to grow in scope and quality. It is a really exciting time to be a part of the Ford family; with new vehicles joining the range and new technology transforming the industry more widely. Good training is vital to our success and we continue to strive to achieve the highest standards and keep you up to date with this rapidly changing industry, from the technical training for the All-new Ford Mustang detailed on page 4, to ensuring our Commercial Vehicle Sales staff can give their customers the best advice with courses such as Commercial Vehicle Type Approval and Legislation on page 30. The success of our training programmes is demonstrated in this issue, with Chelsea Riddle from TrustFord in Bradford a great example of what the Ford Masters Apprenticeship scheme offers to young people, or the success that Mike Gates from Dinnages Ford in Burgess Hill has achieved with a university scholarship through the Henry Ford Academy.

  • EFDA-JET Bulletin
EFDA-JET Bulletin JET Recent Results and Planning March 2006 On 23rd January 2006, the EFDA Associate Leader for JET Dr Jérôme Paméla presented the JET 2005 report and future programme in a seminar at the JET site. In his talk, Dr Paméla outlined the most recent news regarding fusion, the 2005 JET main events and scientific highlights, the 2006 JET programme, and planning beyond 2006. "2005 was a key year for fusion with the decision on siting ITER in Cadarache taken by the parties on 28 June 2005. India joined in November and ITER negotiations were completed in December 2005. The negotiation with Japan led to other projects being jointly prepared between the European Union and Japan, the so-called ‘Broader Approach’, a very good opportunity for faster development of fusion," stressed Dr Paméla. Some of the scientific results obtained at JET in 2005, which were outlined in the talk, are presented in this Bulletin. The current European fusion research strategy, reflected in the longer-term planning for JET, was also described in detail. In the upcoming campaigns significant enhancement of the JET facility, towards higher power with the ITER-like plasma shape will allow JET to perform important experiments in preparation of ITER. At the end of this year, an ITER-like ICRH Antenna is to be installed which will open new scope for reactor-relevant research at JET. These experiments shall be followed by the installation of an ITER-like first wall scheduled for 2008 (see the June 2005 JET Bulletin). JET in the Physics World The March issue of the Institue of Physics magazine, Physics World, carries an 8 page special feature on JET.
