ZooKeys 604: 49–85. doi: 10.3897/zookeys.604.9049 Abstract The genus Pseudoechthistatus Pic, 1917 is redefined and revised. Five species of the genus are described as new, P. sinicus sp. n. and P. chiangshunani sp. n. from central Yunnan, China, P. pufujiae sp. n. from west- ern Yunnan, China, and P. holzschuhi sp. n. and P. glabripennis sp. n. from southern Yunnan and northern Vietnam. Pseudoechthistatus birmanicus Breuning, 1942 is excluded from the fauna of China. Three poorly known species, P. obliquefasciatus Pic, 1917, P. granulatus Breuning, 1942, and P. acutipennis Chiang, 1981 are redescribed, and the type localities of the former two species are discussed. Endophallic structure of seven species in inflated and everted condition are studied and compared with their relatives. -

Vol. 4, No. 1, January 2009___________ Scope: Munis Entomology & Zoology publishes a wide variety of papers on all aspects of Entomology and Zoology from all of the world, including mainly studies on systematics, taxonomy, nomenclature, fauna, biogeography, biodiversity, ecology, morphology, behavior, conservation, paleobiology and other aspects are appropriate topics for papers submitted to Munis Entomology & Zoology. Submission of Manuscripts: Works published or under consideration elsewhere (including on the internet) will not be accepted. At first submission, one double spaced hard copy (text and tables) with figures (may not be original) must be sent to the Editors, Dr. Hüseyin Özdikmen for publication in MEZ. All manuscripts should be submitted as Word file or PDF file in an e-mail attachment. If electronic submission is not possible due to limitations of electronic space at the sending or receiving ends, unavailability of e-mail, etc., we will accept “hard” versions, in triplicate, accompanied by an electronic version stored in a floppy disk, a CD-ROM. Review Process: When submitting manuscripts, all authors provides the name, of at least three qualified experts (they also provide their address, subject fields and e-mails). Then, the editors send to experts to review the papers. The review process should normally be completed within 45-60 days. After reviewing papers by reviwers: Rejected papers are discarded. For accepted papers, authors are asked to modify their papers according to suggestions of the reviewers and editors. Final versions of manuscripts and figures are needed in a digital format. -

Read Full License Page 1/28 Abstract Background: Mongolian oak forest is a deciduous secondary forest with a large distribution area in the Changbai Mountain area. The majority of longhorn beetle species feed on forest resources, The number of some species is also large, which has a potential risk for forest health, and have even caused serious damage to forests. Clarifying the distribution pattern of longhorn beetles in Mongolian oak forests is of great scientic value for the monitoring and control of some pest populations. Methods: 2018 and 2020, ying interception traps were used to continuously collect longhorn samples from the canopy and bottom of the ridge, southern slope, and northern slope of the oak forest in Changbai Mountain, and the effects of topographic conditions on the spatial distribution pattern of longhorn beetles were analyzed. Results: A total of 4090 individuals, 56 species, and 6 subfamilies of longhorn beetles were collected in two years. The number of species and individuals of Cerambycinae and Lamiinae were the highest, and the number of Massicus raddei (Blessig), Moechotypa diphysis (Pascoe), Mesosa myopsmyops (Dalman), and Prionus insularis Motschulsky was relatively abundant. -

E-mail: [email protected] Abstract The genus Morimospasma Ganglbauer, 1890 is reviewed. Two new species, M. jiangi sp. nov. and M. dalaolingensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated. M. paradoxum Ganglbauer is newly recorded from Anhui, China. Taxonomic status of M. nitidituberculatus Hua is discussed. The Chinese names of M. jiangi sp. nov. and M. dalaolingensis sp.nov. are desig- nated, respectively, as Jiǎngshì Jùliútiānniú and Dàlǎolǐng Jùliútiānniú in Chinese phonetic alphabet. A key to all six spe- cies of Morimospasma is provided. Key words: Morimospasma, Cerambycidae, new species, China Introduction The endemic Chinese genus Morimospasma was originally described by Ganglbauer in 1890 based on a single specimen collected from Gansu, China. Aurivillius (1922) placed it in Lamiini, Breuning (1942) transferred it into Phrissomini, then Gressitt (1951) followed his arrangement, but Hubweber et al. (2010) transferred it back to Lamiini. The genus is characterized by both sexes with the pronotum precipitously raised centrally and forming a large protuberance and elytra nearly ovate, characters that are distinctly different from other flightless groups in Lamiini that are also distributed in China, such as Parechthistatus Breuning, Echinovelleda Breuning, Echthistatodes Gressitt and Neotrachystola Breuning. -
