DECEMBER 8TH – 11TH United States of Love

It is with great pleasure that the IFI once again plays host to Kinopolis, Dublin’s Polish Film Festival, and presents a programme that intends to reflect the great strength and variety of films emerging from Poland. This year’s key films come from a first-time feature director (Jan P. Matuszyński’s The Last Family), a filmmaker building a strong body of work (Tomasz Wasilewski’s United States Of Love), and one of the greats of Polish and world cinema, Andrzej Wajda, who sadly passed away this year, and to whom we pay tribute with a screening of his final film, Afterimage. In addition, we present Irish audiences with the opportunity of enjoying comedy hits Kamper and Planet Single, and of course, the ever-popular animation programme returns. As always, we hope you will find much to enjoy in this year’s programme. Introduction and film notes by Kevin Coyne. Normal IFI ticket prices apply. A multi-film pass is also available from IFI Box Office in person or over the phone – four festival films for €35.
